A snicker escaped my lips. Lucas, who was beside me, shook his head as if he found it absurd.
“Helping each other in the same raid team is a given. But expressing gratitude when helped is basic courtesy.”
Another knight from the Guardian Knights couldn’t bear Pierre’s behavior and stepped in. It was the same knight who had praised me earlier.
“Sir Pierre, if I remember correctly, you also participated in the raid last year. If you can’t even properly cut a non-poisonous Mantrap vine, then why are you even here?”
With Lucas’s direct question added to the mix, Pierre twisted his face.
“Why would I be here? To raid magical beasts, of course.”
While it might have been hard to cut the vine hanging upside down, what puzzled me was how he had only crouched on the ground, unable to run away after the Mantrap attacked.
