What on earth…….
A hollow laugh escaped me at the sight before my eyes. The training ground was completely empty, and the training swords that should have been in their storage were scattered everywhere.
Come to think of it, today was the last day of the festival, wasn’t it?
Before coming here, I had run into an excited Lucas.
I refused to go to the square with him, but if it’s Lucas who leads the atmosphere within the Knights……
“He must have gone around blowing off steam.”
A slight headache came on at the vivid picture, even without seeing it.
Even if it’s the last day of the festival, what’s this? How hastily did he have to drag people away to end up like this?
A suppressed sigh escaped me. I had resolved in this life not to clean up after others, but I couldn’t just ignore this mess.
I untied the string around my wrist and tightly tied up the golden strands of hair that reached my waist.

It was the moment I reached for the sword that had fallen to the ground.
“Senior.”
A pleasant bass voice made my shoulders jerk.
It was a voice I was sure I had never heard before, but what’s this ominous premonition?
“…….”
“Senior?”
Turning towards where the voice came from, I saw a man standing still. Slowly raising my gaze, I blinked in blank surprise.
I knew this face well.
The hair with a mysterious color, seeming to be tinged with jet black but sometimes looking like a deep navy, as if the night sky itself had been placed there.
Underneath it were a shade lighter colored irises…….

So, the man before me now was the male protagonist from a book I read in my previous life, a warmonger who was coldblooded and never fully accepted the feelings of the original female lead who had a time limit.
And although he was only a supporting character in the original, he was hailed as the empire’s number one sword, who fought with the protagonist, Rosebelia, and died at her hands.
Ian Klein Martinez.
In the middle of the novel, Rosebelia, who had gone into exile in a foreign country, repeatedly encountered Ian on the battlefield as he became a tyrant, and she, too, met her death fighting him.
If it followed the original, he would kill me, and I would kill him…….
So, we would fight like dogs, and in the end, we both would die…….
The thought of the original’s gruesome ending naturally choked my breath.
“……What’s the matter?”
“I will take care of the cleaning, Senior.”
“Yes, do that.”

As Ian started picking up the remaining swords, I hesitated and stepped back. As some distance grew between us, I was finally able to breathe again.
Calm down. It’s not like I’m going to kill Ian right now, or he’s going to kill me, right?
Right, right now, we’re just senior and junior knights.
Once I had collected myself, I saw Ian silently cleaning the training ground.
I cautiously approached to help, and I felt a fleeting glance turned my way. In Ian’s eyes was a curious expression.
“…….”
“It’ll be faster if we do it together.”
The awkwardness made my tone a bit brusque. Ian shrugged and continued picking up the swords.
Soon, Ian, with an armful of swords, approached, and I gestured to the storage.
He’s really tall.
That’s not all. The original described him with a robust physique, sculpted features, and unfathomable eyes that made many women’s hearts flutter.
I thought it was just the protagonist’s buff, but Ian’s appearance was splendid to the point that the description seemed lacking.
I unknowingly lost myself for a moment, just staring at him.
“Have you thought about it?”
“Thought? What…….”
I felt my thought process slowing down. I couldn’t understand what he was talking about at all.
“I didn’t think you’d play hard to get.”
“What?”
Ian’s gaze, scanning my face intently, sent a rush of tension through me.
He was treating me as a real senior, his attitude polite, but his eyes somehow disrespectful.

Indeed, no matter how hard I tried to hide my identity, the unique pride of the royal family wouldn’t be entirely concealed.
It was already revealed in the original work that Ian, the first prince of the Phones Empire, had joined the White Knight Order as a new recruit, hiding his identity.
But now, this situation is…….
“You weren’t drunk that night, as far as I remember.”
At Ian’s sudden words, the collar of the other’s neck twitched.
“I might have been drunk.”
“You can’t remember what happened that day because you were drunk?”
“If you mean that day…….”
“You mean the eve.”
The eve? The word made my mouth go dry.
The eve means the day before the festival begins. I heard that the festival here lasts for three days.

Since today is the last day of the festival, the eve would have been exactly four days ago.
I subtly bit my lower lip. Although it was just four days ago, I had no memory of that day.
What should I dodge with? Should I insist that I was drunk that day?
“Even drunk, some people don’t show it, right?”
When I tried to force a smile, Ian’s expression instantly hardened.
“Did you forget? Or do you want to forget?”
When male lead is the homewrecker
“I know she doesn’t love him.”
I’ve read the novel below twice already. Girls, I’m highly recommending it to you!
The female lead? Not a good person.
The second male lead? Not a good person.
The male lead? Willingly plays the third party, breaking up the female and second male lead’s relationship despite all the warnings from his friends—so yeah, he’s definitely not a good person either.
Basically, nobody in this novel is simple-minded or without scheming.
The female lead starts off as the male lead’s secretary, but don’t worry—later on, she takes over the company while the male lead steps back to support her. He won’t steal her spotlight, overshadow her, or dull her shine.
I love novels where men are out here snatching wigs, tearing each other down, and going to war just to win the female lead’s affection. And this is exactly that kind of novel. Most of Hai Dai Ran’s works have this dynamic. You’ll see the male characters’ emotions being pushed to the absolute extreme.
There’s even a scene where the second male lead exposes the male lead online for being a homewrecker. The brotherhood immediately gangs up on him, dragging him through the mud. I find it compelling —it completely flips reality on its head, where usually, women are the ones fighting over a man and getting torn apart by the sisterhood.
For me, female leads in the novels I read should only struggle in their careers, not in love. But if the brainless romantics in the story are all men? I have zero complaints.
I’ve pretty much read all of Hai Dai Ran’s novels and even translated all of them—her works are just my thing. I’ll slowly upload everything here. One day, when my website is official, I hope I can invite her to join as one of the star authors.
Here’s the story synopsis:
