Deon wrapped one arm around Liche’s front shoulder, pulling her close, and looked at the two people in front of them.

One was familiar, and the other was somewhat known from a recent hunting event.

“Serdis, Gerwer. What did you do to my sister?”

“No.”

“Hello, Senior Derkedion. We were just greeting Tiari.”

Deon nodded towards Liche, signaling for her to speak.

But she couldn’t possibly.

“……”

“……”

Liche sent intense signals towards Deon, who was staring at her.

‘Really, nothing happened. Don’t fight.’

“I don’t understand what you mean.”

Well, that’s true.

Neither Zekebert nor Deon would hear her thoughts, not being Pythons.

Resigned, Liche heard Deon speak in a heavy voice.

“I understand you’re nagging.”

It means don’t pick a fight.

Holding Liche, Deon turned and walked into the classroom.

“You guys, come in too.”

“Okay.”

“Excuse us.”

By the window-side desk, Robenhaf sat writing a club formation application. Upon hearing Deon bringing the kids, he turned his head and warmly greeted them.

“You’re here? Liche, you brought a friend……”

He flinched when he saw Ian following Deon.

“Ian Dwayne?”

“Hello.”

The boy was as dazzling as his blond hair.

Why him?

Robenhaf looked to see if more people were coming in. Zekebert was closing the classroom door.

It appeared that the friend Liche brought really was Ian Dwayne.

‘I didn’t see this coming……’

Robenhaf was flustered.

He had thought Liche’s friend would be a girl from the same class. He had wanted to appear kind in front of Liche.

Although he wasn’t pleased with Ian’s appearance, they were in front of Liche.

Robenhaf gave a social smile and greeted nonchalantly.

“Welcome. So Liche’s friend was Ian Dwayne. Really turned into a club of skilled people, hasn’t it?”

Nod.

Liche nodded to Robenhaf’s comment.

Robenhaf thought Liche was strangely quiet, but didn’t pay much mind due to focusing on Ian.

A moment later, led by Robenhaf, the five sat at adjoining desks.

In the quiet, awkward atmosphere, Liche whispered to Deon who sat beside her.

Deon listened quietly, then suddenly stood up, took Liche, and walked towards the door.

Seeing this, Robenhaf got up and spoke to Deon.

“Derkedion! Where are you going?”

“To feed the dog.”

“What?”

What are you saying? Since when do you have a dog?

Robenhaf looked perplexed at the retreating figures leaving the classroom.

“Liche too?”

“Yeah.”

He didn’t understand why Liche’s answer came from Deon.

Robenhaf was used to Deon’s impulsive actions. He sat down as the door closed.

‘He’ll come back later.’
He had trusted Liche.

Even if not Deon, Liche would return.

The issue was the missing Ludwick siblings. Robenhaf looked at the desks lined up next to him on his right.

“…….”

Serdis, who remained silent.

“……?”

Iandwein, whose thoughts were yet unknown.

Both sat quietly, perhaps wanting to leave, like himself right now.

Zekebert had joined on the condition of Liche’s participation, and Iandwein was a friend Liche had brought.

The absence of people who were the reason for establishing the club. A dispirited Robenhaf asked them,

“So, only three of us are left. Any questions?”

“Will we fill out the club creation application by ourselves?”

“Yes. I’ve explained everything to Liche and Derkedion, so we just need to fill it out and get their signatures.”

Even calling it an explanation, all he had done was talk to Liche last time.

What detailed explanation would a slack-off club need?

Robenhaf picked up a pen. Most of the form was already filled when he was with Deon earlier; just a few blanks were left.

“……Iandwein, did you get home okay that day?”

Keeping his eyes fixed on the form he was filling out, Robenhaf casually asked Iandwein.

He felt Iandwein’s gaze on him.

He had lost consciousness while being carried by Philip, so he didn’t know what had happened that day.

‘Does he know?’

Ignoring Iandwein’s penetrating gaze, Robenhaf calmly filled in the blanks.

“I even gave you pajamas. A new set, not the ones you were wearing.”

“……Pajamas?”

“Yes. The day you lost consciousness, I”

“That, child!”

He trusted Liche in the middle of the night, a relationship built on mutual trust.

Robenhaf, who was trying to emphasize his relationship with Liche, was interrupted by Iandwein’s hurried voice.

“Do you know who saved me?”

Robenhaf looked up at Iandwein, who had stood up.

So quickly that even the chair had toppled over.

“Do you know, senior? Please tell me……!”

Leaning on the desk, Iandwein begged as if searching for salvation in a crumbling world.

His expression seemed more desperate than someone lost in a desert begging for a sip of water.

……Why so transparent?

‘I can see right through you.’

Robenhaf thought, surprised at Iandwein’s expression.

Iandwein was eagerly searching for the person who saved him, yet he didn’t know it was Liche.

“……It would be a problem if you knew.”

Murmuring softly, Robenhaf gave Iandwein an insincere smile.

“Sorry. I don’t know.”

“You’re not friends with him, right?”
