When Eldest Senior Martial Brother greeted me, the others standing behind him also hesitantly approached and bowed to me.

Though all their faces were unfamiliar, each one clearly bore the surname Ha.

As it turned out, they had been sent out into the jianghu just a few days before my entry into the sect, under the Sect Leader’s orders to inspect the lay branches of Mount Hua and gauge the sentiments of the people in Shaanxi. That was why I hadn’t met them, and they hadn’t known of my existence.

In any case, once greetings were exchanged and no further business remained, Master and I resumed our journey. As the voices of my senior martial brothers gradually faded behind us, I suddenly sensed a gaze.

Though a gaze has no physical form, something pierced my back as if it did…

Turning around, my eyes met those of one of the senior martial brothers. Startled by my sudden turn, he paused briefly, then gave a faint smile and waved.

We were already quite far apart, so his expression seemed natural at first glance—but for some reason, I could discern it instantly.

His smile was awkward.

“…Well, Mount Hua is still a place where people live.”

I’d always been aware of this, so I wasn’t surprised. I gave him a slight wave in return and turned my head again.

[This is the timeline separator]

By the time summer had passed and autumn neared its end, I finally began learning swordsmanship.

The wooden sword I held for the first time felt strangely familiar. Though fairly heavy, it was surprisingly easy to lift, and gripping the hilt felt unexpectedly natural.

As I tilted my head curiously, examining the wooden sword from every angle, Master asked with a hint of amusement in his voice,

“Is it fascinating?”

“Yes…”

“I thought you had no interest in swords at all.”

“Me?”

I turned back, eyes wide with surprise, and saw him nodding faintly with that same gentle smile.

I hadn’t expected him to interpret my silence—meant only as patience, waiting for him to teach me someday—as disinterest. Rolling my eyes inwardly, I replied,

“A sword is a dangerous object, so I thought one needed at least some basic qualification before even touching it. Until I earned that qualification, it seemed best not to show interest.”

“…So that’s what you thought.”

Master looked slightly taken aback, fell into brief contemplation, then continued,

“You’re right. A sword is indeed dangerous. But disciples entering the sword sect rarely think that far. Even I, when I first came to the mountain, couldn’t wait to grab a sword right away.”

“Oh, I just…”

“I’m not saying you were wrong. Quite the opposite, in fact.”

Though he said that, I caught a fleeting glimmer of concern cross his face.

But it lasted only an instant. Master quickly composed his expression, as if unwilling for me to notice his worry.

‘What’s he worried about?’

Could it be because I acted too maturely? My answer just now did sound a bit unchildlike.

But Master soon moved on to the main topic, leaving me no time to dwell on it.

“Now, the sword art you’ll begin practicing today is the Six Harmonies Sword. It shares the same origin as the Six Harmonies Mindset you’ve already learned.”

Anticipating a lengthy explanation, I lowered the tip of my wooden sword to the ground. Gazing up intently at Master, I watched as he gave a slight smile and continued,

“When I taught you the mindset, I mentioned once that the Six Harmonies refer to Heaven, Earth, and the Four Directions—in other words, the entire world. Since nothing exists without the world, the Six Harmonies encompass everything. Thus, the Six Harmonies Sword forms the foundation for all other Mount Hua sword arts you’ll learn later—such as Seven Plum Blossom Sword, Jade Maiden Sword, Five Elements Plum Blossom Sword, and even the Twenty-Four Styles Plum Blossom Sword Technique. Though it’s the first sword art you’ll learn, it’s also the most important.”

Master paused there, stepped a few paces ahead of me, and drew the sword hanging at his waist.

“Not that explanations aren’t necessary—but as the saying goes, one action speaks louder than a hundred words. I’ll demonstrate the entire form once. Watch as closely as you can.”

Somehow, I had a feeling he’d ask me to try replicating it from memory right after…

Bracing myself for what was to come, I straightened my back and fixed my gaze on Master. Noticing my focus, he slowly raised his sword.

The blade caught the sunlight, scattering a momentary flash.

Simultaneously, it began slicing sharply through the air.

The movements themselves weren’t flashy, fierce, or particularly swift. True to its description as the foundation of all sword arts, they even seemed somewhat simple.

Yet, perhaps because the practitioner was none other than Mount Hua’s First Sword, the demonstration held an irresistible force that kept my eyes locked on him.

I must have lost myself in watching for a moment—because before I knew it, the demonstration was already over.

“Did you watch carefully?”

“Huh? Yes… yes.”

Master, having noticed my brief lapse, approached with a smile and gently ruffled my hair. Meeting my eyes, he immediately gave me my first assignment.

“Now, try performing it once on your own, as much as you can remember.”

Yep. I knew it.

“Um, all right.”

Perhaps because the sword path wasn’t overly complex, I vaguely recalled how it began, how the sword moved throughout, and how far to step.

But having just witnessed a demonstration so flawless it could’ve been called perfect, I found it hard to confidently raise my own sword.

Seeing my hesitation, Master quietly stepped closer and gave my shoulder a reassuring pat—a careful gesture from those calloused hands, accustomed to long hours gripping a sword.

“You don’t need to perform it perfectly. I need to see how much strength you use so I can tailor your training accordingly. That’s all this is about.”

“…Understood!”

He was right.

Taking a deep breath, I adjusted my grip on the wooden sword’s hilt. Master immediately stepped back several paces to give me space.

Slowly raising the sword, I mentally replayed Master’s posture and mirrored it.

The tip of the blade should trace a straight line reaching roughly my neck, feet shoulder-width apart…

Confirming my stance was steady, I began drawing the sword slowly through the air.

‘…It’s not as hard as I thought.’

Contrary to my brief pre-practice nerves, I managed to perform the form surprisingly smoothly. I couldn’t say how it looked to a skilled observer, but I felt I’d at least mimicked the movements.

The first motion, and then the next.

It was unexpected that after seeing it just once, each subsequent movement kept coming to mind.

Honestly, I’d expected to forget halfway through and stop—but when I reached a part I couldn’t recall, my body moved instinctively, and I realized immediately that the motion was correct.

‘What’s this?’

It felt as if I were trying something I’d done long ago, forgotten over many years, only to attempt it again now by some trigger.

Of course, I’d never held a sword even before my reincarnation, so it was surely just a feeling…

‘But why does it work?’

Strangely enough, that thought carried me through to the final motion, and I lowered my sword.

Master had finished his flawless demonstration without even a ripple in his robes, but I was naturally out of breath. After exhaling deeply, I turned to look at him—and our eyes met instantly. I saw him striding quickly toward me.

His expression now looked far more pleased than before.

“You seemed unsure, yet you’d already memorized it all.”

“Was I not wrong?”

“If you can replicate this much after seeing it just once, it’s practically as good as correct.”

So there were minor errors, then.

“No major mistakes—just a few small details to refine. At this rate, you’ll master the Six Harmonies Sword quickly and move on to Jade Maiden Sword or Seven Plum Blossom Sword.”

After saying that, he paused briefly, then added,

“It felt as if you’d trained in it for a long time. You seemed to naturally know exactly where and how much strength to apply.”

Inside, I froze for a moment—his words partially matched the fleeting thought I’d had mid-practice.

“…Is that so?”

But that couldn’t possibly be true.

Honestly, at this point, I couldn’t even convince myself it was because I’d read about it in a book. When I first learned the mindset, maybe—but that was just sitting and breathing. This was wielding a sword, moving and swinging it.

It made even less sense than becoming an expert martial artist after reading a manual once.

‘Then what is it?’

If it was my own—‘my’—mental ability, that didn’t fit; I’d never been particularly skilled at physical tasks. Yet it also felt ambiguous to attribute it solely to this body of Haheun’s that I’d possessed.

In the original story, Haheun had always been considered disappointing for a disciple of Mount Hua’s First Sword. Maybe expectations had simply been too high—but the fact remained she’d never once received praise, so she surely hadn’t been above average.

‘At the very least, she wouldn’t have been able to learn a sword form and perform it flawlessly on her first try.’

Moreover, this body of Haheun’s was only twelve years old, and I’d just entered Mount Hua—this truly was my first time learning swordsmanship.

So why could I wield the sword so skillfully? There was simply no logical explanation…

“Haheun. I didn’t mean it as criticism—you can smile a little when praised like this.”

“Oh.”

A hand landed lightly, yet with slight weight, atop my head. Master tousled my already messy hair once more before pulling away.

Now that I thought about it, wasn’t this the kind of reaction a child should show upon receiving praise?

Belatedly, I gave a sheepish smile and nodded.

‘…I’ll just chalk it up to some protagonist’s reincarnation privilege. I’ve read novels like that before. From now on, I’m simply a talented person. That’s just how it is. Call it the power of the universe.’

I didn’t want to resort to such illogical, baseless reasoning—but if there was no other option, what could I do?

Honestly, if they were going to make me wake up in someone else’s body without my consent, they should’ve at least provided an instruction manual out of basic decency. Since they didn’t, I’ll just think whatever makes me feel better.

My Arch-enemy Sealed My Memory and Said That He is My Husband

This is an incredibly captivating story that you absolutely shouldn’t miss! I’ll give a brief introduction here, and below you’ll find a detailed synopsis of the plot.

The female lead is a fierce and powerful demon king. The male lead is a once-in-a-millennium celestial lord, admired by the entire cultivation world.

They are equally matched, legendary rivals who have battled for centuries.

In the final duel, the female lead is gravely injured. The male lead saves her, seals her memories, and hides her true identity. He tells her that he is her fiancé. His entire life has been flawless—except for the one thing he never expected, never controlled, and never wanted to control: falling for his greatest enemy. She is his inner demon, his obsession.

When the female lead regains her memories, she is furious at his deception.

She makes his life a living hell.

And somehow, the male lead—possibly a total masochist—doesn’t mind at all. In fact, he’s happy she’s paying attention to him.

Yep, we’re back to my favorite trope: male lead suffering. If you love this kind of story, jump into the pit with me now!!!

Intro

Dong Xia lost her memory.

Her handsome and extremely powerful fiancé Li Qing comforted her: “It’s okay if you can’t remember. I’ll always be with you.”

Everyone thought Dong Xia’s ancestors must have burned incense to get such a perfect fiancé. He was the number one person in the immortal realm, yet he remained chaste and only loved her.

…

The day before marrying her fiancé, Dong Xia finally remembered everything.

She wasn’t suffering from memory loss at all.

Her arch-enemy had made her fake her death, destroyed her cultivation, replaced her memories, and pretended to be her deeply in love fiancé.

No wonder he said, “It’s okay if you can’t remember”!

Dong Xia laughed coldly as she pulled out her long knife: Li Qing, prepare to die 🙂

*

Li Qing, as the supreme being of the immortal realm, was the people’s shining beacon.

The only unknown stain in his life was his affection for Dong Xia, the ruler of the demon realm.

In the final battle of the war between immortals and demons, the sky collapsed and the earth shattered. The ruler of the demon realm was finally slain under the sword of the supreme being of the immortal realm, and everyone in the immortal realm applauded.

The cultivation world lost a ruler of the demon realm.

And in the back mountain of Li Qing’s cave dwelling, he secretly hid away a fiancée.

Notes:

1. The female lead is white on the outside, black on the inside, and the queen of flattery; the male lead repeatedly tests the edge of darkness, a VIP guest at the crematorium.

2. Fantasy cultivation world setting.
