It was just as he had said.

At the front of the group stood a familiar face—the Young Master of the Nangong Clan, whom I’d seen just a few days ago. He wore martial robes in a deep blend of navy and blue, and his features remained as fluid and elegant as ever, as if drawn in a single stroke of a brush, unchanged from our last encounter.

‘His name was… Seohan, right.’

Pang Woonil approached the Nangong Clan party with a look of genuine delight.

At other tables, hardly anyone paid them much attention, thinking only, “Oh, who’s arrived now?” As a result, though the inn remained noisy, Pang Woonil and Nangong Seohan’s conversation was still clearly audible.

“What brings you all the way here?”

“My younger brother mentioned you’ve gathered all sorts of people and invited them, so I wondered who exactly you’d brought along to warrant such a claim.”

“He said it like that?”

Pang Woonil shrugged his shoulders.

“Well, honestly, only members from Kunlun Sect and Mount Hua Sect actually asked to join us. The clans already know each other, but those from sects rarely get chances like this to build rapport. I simply thought it’d be nice to become better acquainted since we happened to meet.”

“Hmm.”

Nangong Seohan let out an ambiguous sound—neither agreement nor disagreement—and turned his head toward us.

“So, do we have seats?”

“Well, even if we don’t, we’ll make some. Please, sit. There probably aren’t any seats left at other inns anyway.”

“We’ve just come from eating.”
