I Became a Supporting Character in a Martial Arts Novel (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 21
“It’s better than I expected.”
I walked a few steps ahead of Woryeong and realized it anew.
This body had become considerably healthier in just a year.
“Is it thanks to the internal cultivation method?”
Come to think of it, I hadn’t noticed much before because I’d always trained in the same place, but now even those stairs—so steep I’d wondered if they were truly meant for climbing—were manageable.
“It’s not bad to get some fresh air like this once in a while.”
I’d been practicing martial arts, cultivating internal energy, taking spirit pills, and even drinking medicinal teas, yet repeating the same routine every day had made it hard to truly feel any progress.
“We came here to take an exam—does it really feel okay to be strolling around like this?”
I couldn’t help but let out a wry chuckle. But honestly, so far, everything still felt smooth and uneventful.
When we’d left Cheongmae Pavilion, it had still been dark before dawn, but now, less than half a shichen had passed and the surroundings had gradually brightened until everything was fully illuminated.
Moreover, Mount Hua was essentially a rocky mountain; aside from a few swaying conifers in the crisp morning air, there was no dense foliage, so the view was fairly open.
“Still, I should pace myself.”
I glanced back briefly. The prospective disciple was following behind me.
Though Lianhua Peak wasn’t the highest of Mount Hua’s five summits, it was uniquely marked by sharply sheer cliffs. We were still near the mountain’s base, but the path would inevitably grow rougher as we ascended.
“I might be fine, but I can’t let him collapse right on the trail.”

My Step-brother Is Obsessed With Me (Female-dominant)
A gentle female protagonist vs pitiful in the early stage, and a sick male protagonist in the later stage
Cheng Songer transmigrated into the body of a vicious cannon fodder female supporting character with the same name as her in a female-dominant novel.
In the original story, the cannon fodder female supporting character was inhumane, committing domestic violence, gambling excessively, being lustful, and even wanting to sell her stepbrother to a brothel for money.
As luck would have it, she just happened to transmigrate at this time.
Seeing Cheng Qingzhi biting his lip, enduring the tears in his eyes, looking pitiful, her heart softened.
She stuffed the money back into the Madam’s hand and reached out to him.
“Brother, come home with me.”

“You really do nothing but train all day long, do you?”
I think the reason her master is spending less time with her isn’t because of a lack of aptitude but because he knows how diligent she is!

That hurts to read about. I get it. But dang tho, she definitely needed help from someone who could see her heart truly.
- Miririno Chapter 31 — Paragraph 98
Made me feel even more sorry for the original owner of this body.
True…I had a similar thought. It’s very heartbreaking to think about that she was actually controlled and commited suicide when we came to realization in the end
