The pricking was sure to anger an adult when a child openly contradicted him in front of him. The faces of the death penalty members were visibly flushed.

I deliberately made a tired face.

“Do you not think the number was too shallow?”

“You’ve been quite quiet while being able to say such things. But, apprentice, if you say that…”

“What if I say that? Is that important now?”

Ryu, who was at the very front, clenched his fist tightly. His hand turned pale, and the veins stood out. It was the moment when an executioner, who had gritted his teeth for a while, was about to say something else.

“Yeah, you brats. Know some shame.”

Suddenly, a third person’s voice interjected.

Everyone in this place looked around with surprised faces at where the sound came from.

Not far away stood an old man with an unlike Daoist face. However, he was undoubtedly dressed in the attire of the volcanic elders, and he was, above all, a familiar person.

One of the death penalty members muttered in a subdued voice.

“…Elder Jinnung.”

It was my ambassador.

But his appearance was unexpected for me, too. Since I had no intention of asking for help in the first place, I, albeit to a different degree from the other death penalty members, could only look at the ambassador approaching with the same surprised face.

The ambassador, who approached with a slow step, licking his tongue, opened his mouth.

“When that kid Yuwoon left, he asked me so much that I came out with my heavy body, and there’s no nephew in the smokehouse that was supposed to be there? I’ve been looking for where he went, but I didn’t know he was dealing with my lousy death penalty members here.”

“Now, Elder. It’s not that…”

“It’s not? Then explain properly what it is. In my view, this kid’s six combined swords weren’t bad, so why are you picking on a kid for everything?”

If he had watched me unfold the six combined swords, it meant he had been observing the situation for quite a while.

…Then he must have heard everything I said to the death penalty members. I rolled my eyes sneakily as I went over the words I had just said.

‘I was a bit careless.’

Would selfdefense be allowed?

On the other hand, the reaction of the death penalty members had to be even stronger than mine. They started to stumble with a pale face that seemed to acknowledge their defeat, biting their lips.

“That’s…”

“No, there’s no need to say anything. The young kid has already said everything. But even so, why is it that a 12yearold boy is speaking more rightly than you? I don’t understand why you’re making such shallow schemes against a kid who has lived 10 years less than you, and can you still say you are disciples of the Daoist sect?”

I inadvertently exclaimed in admiration to myself. The ambassador’s words were striking at the opponent very firmly with each word.

Even though the tone of voice didn’t rise, the faces of the death penalty members turned red and pale in repetition as his words continued.

“Elder…”

“Oh! Do you still have an excuse? Can you give a proper reason why you did this?”

“…No. I apologize.”

“That’s right. Stop this useless act and reflect more. Of course, there’s no effect without cause in the world, and I understand that there must be your reasons for this behavior. But that doesn’t change the fact that you were wrong. You surrounded and tormented a young apprentice who was quietly standing. Do you agree?”

“Yes.”

“Good. And…”

He trailed off, then quickly turned his head to face me directly. I had been blankly watching the situation, but I tensed up sharply as his eyes met mine.

“Ha Hyun.”

“…Yes.”

“Shall I see you separately?”

Honestly, I couldn’t deny that I was scared as soon as I heard that…

(This is a time delimiter.)

Walking back and forth in the vast mountain gate, the ambassador took me to his meditation room.

As soon as I entered the meditation room, a faint smell of medicinal herbs wafted. It wasn’t strange. I hadn’t known for long, but the ambassador was the main pharmacist of the volcano.
The medical and pharmaceutical halls were separated within the volcano, and these two halls were collectively referred to as the ‘Medical Pavilion.’ The person leading such a Medical Pavilion was the Grand Minister, who was the most proficient in medicine within the volcano and the best maker of all medicines, including spiritual pills.

He didn’t look like a Taoist, nor did he look like a doctor, and even excelled in swordsmanship, having raised a disciple to become the best swordsman in the volcano. But that was indeed the case.

“Is that why……”

After sitting face to face, there was a smell of unknown herbs from the tea that the Grand Minister himself had poured. It smelled somewhat like ginseng.

“It seems bitter.”

As I looked down at the darkcolored tea, the Grand Minister who had served something on a plate spoke a word.

“Drink it all. If you drink that, you’ll grow tall.”

A lie…

But I really couldn’t say that.

“Yes……”

Male lead is a Destined Young Husband (Female-dominant)

One-sentence summary: Wife-master, listen to my explanation!

Li Ruantang, a young lady from a prestigious family, stumbled and fell. When she woke up, she saw a noble and beautiful young man sitting by her bedside, wiping away tears.

The young master had slightly reddened eyes, and his every move exuded charm.

The sight made Li Ruantang’s eyes hot and her heart flutter. After all, she had made a bet with the young master Meng from the neighboring family. If she couldn’t marry a husband before the end of the year, she would have to admit defeat and give up the jade she had worked so hard to obtain.

Outside the window, the flowers were in full bloom.

Rather than losing the bet, the jade, and her face, Li Ruantang calculated that it would be better to seek marriage with the young master in front of her, killing three birds with one stone.

…

Meng Jun never thought that an accident during a spring outing would lead to them rolling down a cliff and into a river, yet still survive.

Now they were trapped in an unknown village, and Meng Jun had overheard that the family who had rescued them had their own intentions.

After all, it was Li Ruantang who had lost her mind and sought marriage first. He was only trying to protect himself!

Glancing at Li Ruantang, who was listing her own merits, the young husband’s voice softened, and he blushed as he lied, “W-wife-master, Wife-master, don’t you remember me?”

The young husband’s voice was clear and handsome, coaxing Li Ruantang’s heart to be soft and sweet, and she spared no effort to protect him.

It wasn’t until they returned to the capital that Li Ruantang suddenly remembered.

When they had fallen off the cliff, in order not to implicate Wei Yunruo, whom he secretly admired, the young husband had instead pulled her, who was slightly farther away, down the cliff with him…

Short summary by Yuushi L: Initially, the male lead (ML) liked another girl, while the female lead (FL) liked the ML. Both fell off a cliff. The FL temporarily lost her memory, and the ML, fearing others might take advantage of him, claimed FL was his wife while they were staying in a village. Later, when they returned home, the FL regained her memories and remembered that the ML liked someone else, so she kept her distance from him. However, during their time living together in the countryside, the ML’s view of the FL had completely changed. From this point, his pursuit of the FL begins.
