Kyo Hwan’s unusually early departure left Team Leader Nam and the rest of the secretarial staff wide-eyed with surprise.

“Is something wrong at home?”

Team Leader Nam hurried after him and pressed the elevator button.

“Tell Teacher Bom I’m on my way and ask her to wait in the study.”

“Yes, understood.”

Yet Kyo Hwan, after saying that, actually stopped by the gatehouse upon returning to Sangnimwon.

Hyo Jin had already stepped out, having been forewarned, and though he checked the box left on her desk, the necklace was nowhere to be seen—just as he’d expected.

‘Ugh, that kid Seung Yul. Even if he likes Roy, how could he take the teacher’s necklace?’

As he sighed and placed the necklace—returned to him earlier that day by Sylvia—back into the box, he heard someone typing in the password outside.

‘Could it be Teacher Bom?’

Trying to surprise her, he quietly pressed his back against the wall near the built-in closet.

But the person who walked in wasn’t Teacher Bom—it was Seung Yul!

Kyo Hwan, who had assumed Seung Yul impulsively gave away the necklace because he liked Roy, now felt utterly betrayed upon catching him replacing it with an identical one.
