She flinched mid-sentence with a startled cry. The Duke had lightly tapped her clenched fist.

Unconsciously, she turned her head to look at him—only to regret it instantly.
His face was so close that her cheek nearly brushed his jawline. Chloe quickly snapped her gaze forward again. The Duke’s low chuckle tickled her earlobe.
Why on earth was he doing this! He kept her pinned in place while laughing to himself.
Embarrassment and irritation surged through her at once.
“Could you let go a little?”
What? Let go? Who exactly is holding whose hand right now!
“Why are you laughing…?”
Chloe had been about to snap, “Why are you laughing so unpleasantly? Duke, just release my hand!”—but the Duke’s amused words cut her off.
“If you’re gripping the reins I’m supposed to hold so tightly, what exactly am I supposed to hold onto?”
What on earth was that supposed to mean!
“The reins you’re holding are mine. So, could you please let go now? Here—these are the ones you should be holding.”

I love this moment for them. Chloe being able open up and cry about her sibling while the Duke comforts her. Though I wish this happened AFTER she was revealed as Chloe, but this works too.
