I Accidentally Imprinted On The Wolf Duke (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 118
He honestly wished he could just use the Emperor’s authority to send Chloe home. He should’ve anticipated this the moment the war was first mentioned and Chloe asked him to go to war in her place.
Chloe had declared that if he didn’t take her to the battlefield herself, she would never marry him—ever again. She would stay by his side as his partner, she said, but would not marry him.
It was a thunderbolt of a declaration. Of course, she promised to stay with him, but the thought of not being legally bound to her was horrifying enough on its own.
Could such a lovely woman possibly appear lovely only to him? Even that imperial brat had gone completely mad with desire and done all sorts of reckless things. Though the idea of bringing her to the battlefield was dreadful, recalling the cold, icy glare in her eyes when she said she wouldn’t marry him still made his heart lurch even now—so much so that he could only think, ‘Fine, I’ll take you, but in return, I’ll swiftly cut Tuscan’s head off myself.’
Even Charlotte Lionelden stubbornly insisted she would never permit her daughter’s marriage to him unless he took her to the battlefield as well. Watching the fierce determination of both mother and daughter, so alike in spirit, he finally realized he’d taken a tiger beastkin woman as his partner.
It was said that when a woman harbors deep resentment, frost falls even in the height of summer. The women of House Lionelden, having lost husbands, fathers, sons, and brothers, seemed blind to love until they had exacted their revenge.
How could she possibly use marriage as a bargaining chip like this? Hughgray felt wronged and utterly helpless, but since Chloe had made her demand, he had no choice but to yield. He realized anew that the one who loves more always loses—and also understood just how deeply he’d been marked by such a formidable woman.
Though he had sworn to kill Tuscan Starkston, he couldn’t help worrying about what would happen afterward. Since Tuscan had no heir, Chloe would inherit the throne of Tigrum upon his death—and that prospect unsettled him deeply. It meant he might have to share Chloe with the Kingdom of Tigrum itself.
Perhaps Chloe had even anticipated this internal conflict of his and followed him precisely to ensure Tuscan’s death. Now, his primary objective was clear: kill Tuscan as swiftly as possible.
Tuscan would surely stay safely in the rear, directing the battle like some frail old man, but Hughgray had to reach him and end his life as quickly as he could. To do that, he’d have to sit down with that unreliable Emperor and plan tomorrow’s battle together.
“Just tie her up and send her back.”
“You lunatic. Next time you meet a woman, go ahead and tie her up yourself. That’s exactly why Chloe loves me, you miserable fool.”
Hughgray clicked his tongue deliberately, shooting Carcus a look of utter disdain.
“You little bastard!”
“Planning to fight me now? Go ahead. If you can mount your horse tomorrow in battered, broken shape and command the entire army, that is. If not, you’d better figure out how to end this war before the sun climbs over your head tomorrow.”

An Indifferent Woman is the One Men Desire the Most
One-line summary: The female lead is actually cold-hearted and extremely rational. She has stage-by-stage relationships and won’t two-time, but there will always be someone who secretly likes her.
This novel has the following triggers, so if you’re sensitive to these, please don’t read:
1. The female lead has had many relationships, but she treated each one seriously and broke up properly.
It’s just that the men unilaterally pestered her incessantly. For the female lead, when she doesn’t like someone anymore, she simply doesn’t like them.
(This applies to her relationships with Male Lead 1, 2, 3, and 4 as well, but she’s loyal in each 1-on-1 relationship!)
2. In this novel, Male Lead 2 and the female lead kiss in a car, and Male Lead 1 sees it and beats up Male Lead 2.
The female lead calls the police and sends both Male Lead 1 and 2 to the police station! Male Lead 1 begs the female lead not to break up with him.
3. Male Lead 1 has a gentle appearance but an obsessive personality.
Male Lead 2 has a delicate and soft appearance, slightly green tea-like (two-faced).
Male Lead 3 is a youthful college student and a smart person who has secretly liked the female lead for a long time.
Male Lead 4 is the female lead’s father’s special assistant, a business elite with deep, hidden thoughts.
4. At the beginning of this novel, the female lead has already broken up with Male Lead 1 (Chapter 4) and gotten back together with Male Lead 2 (ex-boyfriend).
5. Enter with caution if you have triggers!!!
