#Prologue

Somehow it felt too easy to be let go.

Chloe Liden, who had turned around with a light heart thinking she had finally escaped from the duke’s mansion, froze in her tracks as soon as she saw the man standing right in front of her.

Standing in the middle of the alley entrance, staring intently at Chloe, was Duke Hugrey Ulpaz, the owner of the mansion she thought she had safely escaped from.
