The people cheered for him as if welcoming a god descended to earth. Their cries of jubilation seemed to reach the heavens. Not a trace of doubt could be found on the faces filled with hope that a new world was about to dawn.
At that very moment, Ines was gazing at Carson—her faith and her Emperor—shining so brightly that he turned night into day. Her expression was no different from that of the countless others in the crowd.
Carson smiled more brilliantly than ever before. Moonlight bathed his face in a pale glow.
