Noah rested his elbows on the table and buried his face in his hands. Watching him, Carson let out a soft chuckle.

“There’s no need to overcomplicate things. It’s about time we returned to Landhill.”

“What do you mean?”

“Yes, we’ll stop by the Imperial Capital first, then head to Landhill. Find someone suitable to take care of things here.”

From past experience, Noah knew the Empress’s so-called choices left no room for refusal. He straightened his posture and gave a crisp reply. Though he had many questions, he couldn’t ask any further.

“Understood.”
