A small ship that had been boldly cutting through the blue tropical sea gradually slowed down.

Standing on the swaying deck, a man gazed toward the island drawing closer and murmured softly.

“This place… is still damnably clear and sunny.”

He wore a large straw hat, seemingly to shield himself from the intense sunlight.

Rinosa was such a tiny island that it didn’t even have a proper harbor.

As the boat came to a stop at the small dock beyond the sandy beach, sailors hurriedly began tying ropes to posts to secure the vessel.

“Welcome to Rinosa Island!”

An attendant standing a short distance away on the sands shouted the usual greeting.

“Passengers, please wait aboard for just a moment— Wait, hey! Don’t just jump—!”

The attendant, who had been reciting instructions with an indifferent expression, suddenly cried out in alarm.

The man on deck had abruptly leaped off.

The sailors hadn’t even finished securing the boat yet.

For a brief moment, everyone expected him to splash straight into the sea.

Instead, the man soared through the air with an oddly prolonged grace, then landed lightly on the sandy shore beyond the dock.
