Please…….
The woman sobbed.
A knife was stuck in her chest. Cold, congealed blood flowed down the blade, forming a dark red puddle on the floor.
Thump. Thump…….
Someone approached the fallen woman.
She already knew who it was. Looking up, her eyes were blinded, as if facing the sun.
Those eyes were too brilliant for a human to look straight into.
With a pain in her eyes that felt like burning, the woman sobbed weakly.
Please……. Save me. Don’t kill me like this.
Her frail voice was pitiful. The emotion that overflowed was so intense that it seemed as though it would melt one’s eardrums.

Her slender wrist, shaking like a flower stem, grasped the hem of the man’s garment that had come toward her.
Don’t turn your back on me. I am your destiny. You just don’t know it yet.
The woman’s desperation did not reach the man.
The man just stared at the woman bleeding from the chest, where the knife was stuck, with eyes devoid of any emotion.
No. There’s no way this could be destiny. You are not my destiny.
The man’s words were cruel.
Finally, the woman realized.
The man had never loved her.
Even if she was dying before his eyes, his heart would not change.
If that’s all you have to say.

Having said his piece, the man turned his back and walked away.
His retreating back was cruel. The relentless indifference, the unchanging disregard, was cruel.
The man had been cruel from beginning to end.
The woman staggered and raised her body. Her frame shook violently as she squeezed out her last strength.
This can’t…… be.
Disbelief drained the life from the woman’s face. With a face as dark as a corpse, she spat out despair.
You must love me……. Because it’s our destiny.
Having said her piece, the woman closed her eyes and collapsed.
The abandoned confession remained as a stain on her pale face, along with the putrid smell of blood.

“Ah……!”
The dream ended there.
Rasilia opened her mouth and let out a silent moan, opening her eyes.
“Rasilia, are you okay?”
Flota asked from beside her.
Rasilia was now in a carriage, accompanied only by her dream interpreter, on the move. She had closed her eyes in the carriage for a moment, and seemed to have dreamt in that time.
“Yeah……. I’m fine.”
Rasilia blinked her cold, sweaty eyelashes.
The dream had been too vivid, and reality did not yet fully register in her eyes. Half her consciousness still seemed to be trapped in the dream.
Even now, what she saw was not the worried face of her dream interpreter Flota, but those emotionless golden eyes.

Those golden eyes, like the knife in her chest, made Rasilia grit her teeth.
“Did you have a dream?”
Rasilia was a prophet of the Delarta Kingdom.
Through Rasilia’s dreams, the gods showed the future. Rasilia’s dreams were testified by the dream interpreters, offered to the altar, and thus became the words of the gods.
“I did dream……. but it doesn’t seem to be a prophecy.”
The words of the gods were always clear. They showed what was to come, so that one could prepare.
But now, conversing with unfamiliar faces unrelated to Delarta Kingdom could not be a prophecy.
“Do you dream of things other than prophecies, Rasilia?”
“It seems so. But how far have we come? Are we still far?”
Rasilia looked out the window, trying to suppress her anxiety.

Before dreaming of the strange dream with the goldeneyed man, Rasilia had seen a terrible prophecy that would overturn the entire Delarta Kingdom.
It was a scene of the 12th Emperor Ricardo cutting off the king’s head.
As soon as she dreamed it, Rasilia sealed the dream at the altar and immediately sent a message to the king.
The only witness was a single Plota. The prophecy was too dangerous, so she kept her words to the extreme. Many of Emperor Ricardo’s men were in the main temple where Rasilia resided as a prophetess. No one could be trusted.
But even though there was an urgent prophecy, there was no answer from the royal family. In the end, Rasilia decided to seek the king herself.
It was rare for a prophetess to leave the main temple herself. Rasilia left the temple in secret, thoroughly keeping it a secret even from the priests. The only ones who knew Rasilia’s whereabouts were Plota, who had been her dreamkeeper and friend since childhood, and the horseman of the main temple.
“Have you, Rasilia, ever wanted to look in a mirror?”
Plota suddenly asked an unexpected question.
“What…?”
Rasilia, who had been looking at the dark forest road through the window, turned her head and faced Plota.
“Why do you ask that?”

Plota met Rasilia’s eyes without dodging.
Today, Plota, who was not sitting straight as usual but sitting with her toes up and twirling her hair around her finger, looked strange.
“I’ve always been curious. How can you not be curious about how you look? You’re a human and a woman, after all.”
“Looking in a mirror has nothing to do with prophecy. Besides, you usually take care of trivial things.”
When male lead is the homewrecker
“I know she doesn’t love him.”
I’ve read the novel below twice already. Girls, I’m highly recommending it to you!
The female lead? Not a good person.
The second male lead? Not a good person.
The male lead? Willingly plays the third party, breaking up the female and second male lead’s relationship despite all the warnings from his friends—so yeah, he’s definitely not a good person either.
Basically, nobody in this novel is simple-minded or without scheming.
The female lead starts off as the male lead’s secretary, but don’t worry—later on, she takes over the company while the male lead steps back to support her. He won’t steal her spotlight, overshadow her, or dull her shine.
I love novels where men are out here snatching wigs, tearing each other down, and going to war just to win the female lead’s affection. And this is exactly that kind of novel. Most of Hai Dai Ran’s works have this dynamic. You’ll see the male characters’ emotions being pushed to the absolute extreme.
There’s even a scene where the second male lead exposes the male lead online for being a homewrecker. The brotherhood immediately gangs up on him, dragging him through the mud. I find it compelling —it completely flips reality on its head, where usually, women are the ones fighting over a man and getting torn apart by the sisterhood.
For me, female leads in the novels I read should only struggle in their careers, not in love. But if the brainless romantics in the story are all men? I have zero complaints.
I’ve pretty much read all of Hai Dai Ran’s novels and even translated all of them—her works are just my thing. I’ll slowly upload everything here. One day, when my website is official, I hope I can invite her to join as one of the star authors.
