How To Choose A Knight (28 Chapters Left to Complete) - Chapter 95
“Looks like he managed to scrape up some money. He got stripped of everything except his underwear earlier.”
Felix sat down with a thud, making no effort to hide his sour mood. Asher smirked.
“What’s wrong? Did that nephew of yours say something annoying when you went to get the money?”
“Yes. I’ve been indulging him every time, and now he’s crossed the line. Must’ve taken after his mother!”
“He didn’t seem so bad at first glance. I passed by him once—gentle, pretty face—the kind that makes you want to see him cry… If you send him to my room tonight, I could teach him some manners.”
Felix snapped at the man, who was chuckling as if joking.
“You have no idea. You don’t know how hard I’ve fought against this damned environment to grow up! Anyone else would’ve collapsed and died by now! I just want to trample it all underfoot!”
Mabel certainly wasn’t a perfect guardian. She failed to hide her favoritism and enjoyed controlling her children under the pretense of properly raising them.
Yet Felix turning out this way—so broken—wasn’t solely Mabel’s fault. He was born with a hypocritical streak.
He was never honest about anything. He hated his older brother and felt inferior, yet smiled sweetly in front of him as if full of love. He disobeyed his mother yet acted meekly obedient to her face. He made no real effort yet pretended to despair over his lack of achievements.
If only he’d shown some reluctance toward his brother, rebelled against Mabel, or made it clear he had no interest in learning magic or growing stronger, his life might have turned out very differently.
After all, the Broens were wealthy, and Mabel would have rather sent a failing child away to learn something else than let him idle. From there, he could have forged a new path.
But he didn’t. Because it was easier and more satisfying that way.
Living luxuriously in the beautiful Broen estate, leeching off his admirable older brother.
It was perfect. He enjoyed the looks people gave him.

My Ex-Girlfriend Is The Regent In The Female-dominant World (Male lead transmigrates to the matriarchal world)
Two years ago, Gu Sui picked up a homeless woman in ancient costume from the street.
Apart from occasionally claiming to be a princess from a female-dominant country due to illness, her figure, appearance, intelligence, and martial arts skills were impeccable.
Naturally evolving from roommates to girlfriends, as time went on, Gu Sui found it increasingly difficult to tolerate her queen syndrome.
“Mu Jiulu, can you stop controlling me inside and out? Let’s break up.”
Gu Sui made a breakup call, and since then, he couldn’t find any trace of her.
A year later, Gu Sui, who was planning to move, woke up the next day and found himself in a different place.
“Young Master, today is the day you choose your Wife-master through martial arts competition at Jade Dew Pavilion. Please get up quickly.”
Gu Sui: Who am I? Where am I? What am I doing?
As the only son of a general’s mansion in a female-dominant dynasty, the young empress personally issued a decree allowing Gu Sui to select his Wife-master through martial arts competition. Whoever could defeat him could marry him.
Gu Sui: “……”
He didn’t inherit the original owner’s martial prowess, so anyone could defeat him! And what the hell is a Wife-master?
Forced to come to Jade Dew Pavilion, the densely packed women below made Gu Sui’s agoraphobia act up, and his face was full of resistance.
Until he saw the Regent sitting on the second floor, with a smile on the corner of her lips, her eyes wicked and nonchalant.
Hmm… she looked a little familiar.
It turned out that the Regent also found him a little familiar.
Mu Jiulu fiddled with her bone clasp, her deep gaze locked on the man who was out of place in this world.
“Finally, I found you.”
