The western training grounds of Prince Gwang Ho’s unit, shrouded in darkness.

Yeon Woo blinked her large eyes and looked up at Geon.

Still slow to grasp the situation, Yeon Woo hadn’t yet realized what she had just done.

She clung tightly around Geon’s waist, wearing a bewildered expression.

“Why are you embracing me, my lord…?”

It was absurd of her to ask for a reason when she herself was the one clinging on.

Geon looked down at Yeon Woo, who showed no intention of letting go, with an exasperated gaze.

His intensely dark eyebrows twitched slightly.

“It’s not that I’m embracing you—it’s you who’s embracing me.”

“Oh…?”

Yeon Woo glanced alternately at her own arms wrapped around Geon, then at Geon’s waist encircled by her arms.

She had held him so tightly that the fabric of Geon’s clothes where her arms touched was deeply wrinkled.

“Oh?!”

Only then did Yeon Woo finally comprehend the situation; her eyes widened so much they nearly popped out of her head.

She sprang away from Geon’s body and hastily bowed low.
