Yeon Woo’s steps back home were lighter than ever before.

Receiving a beautiful set of clothes as a gift from Gi Hyang’s fabric shop and enjoying the magnificent scenery and delicious food at So Hwi Yeon had certainly helped lift her spirits.

Yet, wasn’t the most decisive factor simply that she had someone with whom to share these wonderful moments? Every good thing that had happened today had only been possible because she met Geon.

“Now that I think about it, Prince Gwang Ho seems like a good person.”

Recalling her first impression of Geon, she had to admit it hadn’t been particularly pleasant. His rough speech and actions, like those of an untamed wild horse, and his fierce gaze had made him seem utterly intimidating.

Of course, rumors about him constantly threatening people with knives at their throats or burying them alive did have some basis in truth.

But having experienced him firsthand, she now realized most of the stories about Geon were wildly distorted, exaggerated beyond reason.

Though his sharp glances sometimes frightened her, he wasn’t cruel or strange as the rumors suggested.

He was simply a gruff, blunt man—and she felt certain he was no bad person at heart.

“Indeed, one must never judge people by appearances alone.”

Nodding in agreement with the elders’ timeless wisdom, Yeon Woo suddenly sensed someone behind her.

The familiar clink of metal announced the arrival of a known presence, who called out to her.
