In the cramped tent of Daebok.

Eun Chae found herself atop Ki Joo, who lay on the ground. Under her palms, she felt the firm muscles of Ki Joo’s body.

The scene laid out before them, with erotic paintings sprawled on the floor, was no longer the issue.

Meanwhile, Ki Joo’s hands wandered aimlessly in the air, unsure where to place them.

Their posture was embarrassingly suggestive, something easily misunderstood by others.

Ki Joo was at a loss, unable to decide whether to push Eun Chae off, as it might worsen the awkward situation, or to stay still, which was equally perplexing.

Their eyes met in the air during this confusion, and Ki Joo, with a tense face, asked, “What exactly are you doing on top of me?”

“Um, well, that is…”

Eun Chae, still atop Ki Joo, stammered with a flushed face, unable to come down.

Just then, Daebok stirred under the blankets, waking up. Concurrently, Eun Chae and Ki Joo sprung apart as if propelled by light.

Eun Chae quickly moved beside Daebok, as if she had been there all along, attending to him.

“Brother, have you come to your senses?”

Daebok, now awake, seemed different from usual. He stared blankly into space, looking dazed.

“Are you alright, Brother?”

Eun Chae called Daebok several times, but he seemed not to hear her voice and showed no response.

Eun Chae tried a different approach.

“Daebok, I’m going to burn the erotic paintings?”

“…”

Even threatening to burn his precious erotic paintings, Daebok remained silent.

Concerned, Eun Chae put her hand on his shoulder, asking again, “Brother, are you really alright?”

“Uh… huh?”

Daebok finally seemed to regain his senses and looked straight at Eun Chae.

“Why are you in my tent…?”

Daebok appeared unaware of his fainting.

“Because you fainted, we brought you to the tent.”

“I fainted? Where?”

“You went into the forest to look at the erotic paintings. What happened? You seem totally out of it.”

Recalling something, Daebok exclaimed, “Ah…!”

“Remember something?”

Eun Chae leaned closer to Daebok, worried he might have hit his head.

“Au… I saw a ghost.”

“A ghost?!”

Eun Chae jumped at the mention of a ghost.

Was Daebok joking, or was it true? Considering he fainted, it didn’t seem like a joke.

Eun Chae’s face turned pale, terrified of ghosts.

“That maiden ghost you mentioned earlier? Is it really a ghost? Are you sure you didn’t see it wrong?”

“……Pur.”

Daebok mumbled something barely audible.

“What did you say?”

“Pretty.”

“Excuse me?”

Eun Chae doubted her ears. Was he saying the ghost was pretty? He must have hit his head.

But Daebok, turning his head to Eun Chae, spoke clearly as if to prove his sanity.

“That maiden ghost, unbelievably beautiful.”

As he talked about the ghost, Daebok’s demeanor changed completely, as if he became someone else. His previously dull face brightened up, and his eyes sparkled with a strange liveliness.
Daebok’s behavior didn’t seem like he was possessed by a ghost; rather, he appeared like a man who had fallen in love.

Apparently, Daebok hadn’t fainted just from the shock of seeing a ghost; it seemed he fainted because the ghost was too beautiful.

Several days had passed.

Since the day Daebok claimed to have seen the maiden ghost, he often appeared lost in thought.

Even when Eun Chae teased him, his responses were slow or blunt.

Sometimes he would stare blankly into space, then shyly blush to himself, or wear a lost expression. Initially, watching him was amusing.

But as this behavior repeated, Eun Chae started to worry about him.

On an ordinary evening, Eun Chae went to the western training ground to learn martial arts from Ki Joo.

Upon arriving, she saw Daebok walking into a bush a little distance away.

“Brother! Where are you going?”

Eun Chae ran up to Daebok.

“Oh…? You’re here again.”

“Why are you out here instead of resting?”

“I can’t sleep…”

Unlike his usual self, Daebok had dark circles under his eyes.

His skin was rough, his cheeks hollow, his face half its usual size.

Concerned by Daebok’s poor appearance, Eun Chae asked in a worried tone, “Brother, are you alright? You don’t look well. Should I bring you some herbs that help with sleep?”

Despite her concern, Daebok, looking downcast, shook his head, “Herbs won’t solve this. It’s a sickness of the heart…”

“A sickness of the heart?”

“Have you heard of lovesickness?”

Eun Chae tilted her head at the mention of lovesickness.

In the male-dominated Guangho Army, where could one catch lovesickness?

Or perhaps he had a lover far away? As she pondered, Daebok spoke up.

“That woman! No, the maiden ghost I saw under the moonlight! I can’t forget her!”

Realizing he was referring to the ghost, Eun Chae sighed.

Daebok was apparently lovesick for the ghost he had seen recently.

“Her face as delicate as porcelain, her eyes deep as the night sky, her lips fresh as the spring! How can a ghost be so beautiful?”

As Daebok passionately described the ghost, his dying eyes began to shine.

My Arch-enemy Sealed My Memory and Said That He is My Husband

This is an incredibly captivating story that you absolutely shouldn’t miss! I’ll give a brief introduction here, and below you’ll find a detailed synopsis of the plot.

The female lead is a fierce and powerful demon king. The male lead is a once-in-a-millennium celestial lord, admired by the entire cultivation world.

They are equally matched, legendary rivals who have battled for centuries.

In the final duel, the female lead is gravely injured. The male lead saves her, seals her memories, and hides her true identity. He tells her that he is her fiancé. His entire life has been flawless—except for the one thing he never expected, never controlled, and never wanted to control: falling for his greatest enemy. She is his inner demon, his obsession.

When the female lead regains her memories, she is furious at his deception.

She makes his life a living hell.

And somehow, the male lead—possibly a total masochist—doesn’t mind at all. In fact, he’s happy she’s paying attention to him.

Yep, we’re back to my favorite trope: male lead suffering. If you love this kind of story, jump into the pit with me now!!!

Intro

Dong Xia lost her memory.

Her handsome and extremely powerful fiancé Li Qing comforted her: “It’s okay if you can’t remember. I’ll always be with you.”

Everyone thought Dong Xia’s ancestors must have burned incense to get such a perfect fiancé. He was the number one person in the immortal realm, yet he remained chaste and only loved her.

…

The day before marrying her fiancé, Dong Xia finally remembered everything.

She wasn’t suffering from memory loss at all.

Her arch-enemy had made her fake her death, destroyed her cultivation, replaced her memories, and pretended to be her deeply in love fiancé.

No wonder he said, “It’s okay if you can’t remember”!

Dong Xia laughed coldly as she pulled out her long knife: Li Qing, prepare to die 🙂

*

Li Qing, as the supreme being of the immortal realm, was the people’s shining beacon.

The only unknown stain in his life was his affection for Dong Xia, the ruler of the demon realm.

In the final battle of the war between immortals and demons, the sky collapsed and the earth shattered. The ruler of the demon realm was finally slain under the sword of the supreme being of the immortal realm, and everyone in the immortal realm applauded.

The cultivation world lost a ruler of the demon realm.

And in the back mountain of Li Qing’s cave dwelling, he secretly hid away a fiancée.

Notes:

1. The female lead is white on the outside, black on the inside, and the queen of flattery; the male lead repeatedly tests the edge of darkness, a VIP guest at the crematorium.

2. Fantasy cultivation world setting.
