Gun had headed to the fabric store in the marketplace that he often visited to pick up clothes he had ordered.

Sending a subordinate for such a simple task as picking up clothes was an option.

However, ever since a hidden assassin posing as a servant threatened his life long ago, Gun had stopped keeping any servants close.

He preferred handling matters himself, accepting minor inconveniences over trusting unreliable people.

As he arrived at the entrance of the fabric store, Ki-hyang greeted him with a smiling face.

Her voice, as nasal as ever, rang out cheerfully.

“Oh, my Lord! You’ve arrived~!”

Gun always felt uncomfortable with Ki-hyang’s sticky gaze each time he visited her store.

However, her fabric store was unmatched in quickly producing high-quality clothes, making it worth the discomfort.

Entering the store, Gun’s eyes landed on a familiar face.

The person standing inside, facing him, reminded Gun of someone he knew.

“Hong Yeon-woo…?”

The face belonged to Hong Yeon-woo, a trainee from Kwang-ho’s unit.

But the attire was unmistakably that of a woman, with a skirt and jeogori.

Where her head should have had a manggeon and a topknot, there was neatly braided hair.

At first, he thought it was someone who merely resembled her, but a closer look confirmed it was indeed trainee Hong Yeon-woo.

It couldn’t be this identical otherwise.

Looking at the face, it was definitely Hong Yeon-woo, but dressed in women’s clothes… Was she a man or a woman? Was this really Hong Yeon-woo? Confused, Gun felt a sense of déjà vu.

The Yeon-woo in front of him, dressed as a woman, felt familiar.

Not just because she resembled trainee Hong Yeon-woo.

After a closer inspection of the neatly braided hair, Gun recognized her as the woman who had saved him at Baekaksan.

The Yeon-woo before him was undoubtedly the owner of the red braid.

His mind in turmoil, Gun’s eyes shook with confusion.

“What in the world is going on here…?”

Meanwhile, Yeon-woo, taken aback by this unexpected encounter, felt her mind spinning like a whirlwind.

Her back was drenched in cold sweat, and her hands, touching the fabric, turned ice-cold.

“Ah…”

She needed a plausible excuse to get out of this situation. Being discovered as a woman would be the end of everything.

Yeon-woo’s lips parted with difficulty.

“You must have mistaken me for someone else!”

Whether Gun believed her or not was a secondary concern.

She had turned at his call, but now she had to find a way out of this situation.

Gun approached Yeon-woo with a hardened expression, his presence filling the silent fabric store.

His eyebrows furrowed, he asked harshly.

“If you’re not Hong Yeon-woo, then who are you?”

Was she a woman disguised as a man, or a man dressed as a woman?

If a woman, how did she enter Kwang-ho’s unit, and if a man, why dress as a woman?

As Gun’s thoughts became more muddled, his expression grew more severe.

Yeon-woo, intimidated by Gun’s menacing demeanor, thought she must not give in now.

If one draws a sword as a woman, she must cut through as a warrior.

Having started the lie, she had to deceive him completely.

“I am Hong Yeon-ho, Hong Yeon-woo’s twin sister. And who might you be, sir, to call my brother’s name?”

Yeon-woo brazenly pretended not to know Gun, continuing her web of lies.
Using her brother’s name seemed unnecessary, but it was better than being caught cross-dressing.

“He’s an officer in the army.”

“Oh, I heard my brother joined Kwang-ho’s army unit.”

As Gun responded succinctly, Yeon-woo feigned familiarity.

“Being twins, we often hear how alike we look, so it’s understandable you might confuse us.”

It wasn’t unheard of for non-twin siblings close in age to be mistaken for each other, let alone twins.

Moreover, a regular woman entering Kwang-ho’s army unit would have been impossible.

Even if she did, a woman couldn’t endure the grueling training meant for strong men.

Importantly, trainee Hong Yeon-woo had skillfully shot a boar with a single arrow and displayed quick reflexes by retrieving an arrow from an enemy’s corpse in an emergency.

Such feats, difficult even for expert archers, were impossible for a woman with no prior experience with bows.

“……I see.”

Gun, seemingly convinced, nodded, and Yeon-woo inwardly sighed in relief.

It was a narrowly escaped crisis.

Still reeling from seeing Yeon-woo in women’s clothing, Gun muttered to himself.

“……So that’s why.”

The sense of familiarity he had felt when he first encountered Yeon-woo at Kwang-ho’s unit now made sense.

He had felt she looked familiar from the start.

Since siblings can resemble each other so closely, it was reasonable to think he had met her somewhere before.

Gun had felt emotions he would typically feel towards a woman when around Yeon-woo, a man, which had caused him much internal noise.

But if this confusion was due to her resembling her sister, then his strange feelings made sense.

It had to be so.

He couldn’t be swayed by feelings for a man.

“Oh, you two know each other?”

Male lead is a Destined Young Husband (Female-dominant)

One-sentence summary: Wife-master, listen to my explanation!

Li Ruantang, a young lady from a prestigious family, stumbled and fell. When she woke up, she saw a noble and beautiful young man sitting by her bedside, wiping away tears.

The young master had slightly reddened eyes, and his every move exuded charm.

The sight made Li Ruantang’s eyes hot and her heart flutter. After all, she had made a bet with the young master Meng from the neighboring family. If she couldn’t marry a husband before the end of the year, she would have to admit defeat and give up the jade she had worked so hard to obtain.

Outside the window, the flowers were in full bloom.

Rather than losing the bet, the jade, and her face, Li Ruantang calculated that it would be better to seek marriage with the young master in front of her, killing three birds with one stone.

…

Meng Jun never thought that an accident during a spring outing would lead to them rolling down a cliff and into a river, yet still survive.

Now they were trapped in an unknown village, and Meng Jun had overheard that the family who had rescued them had their own intentions.

After all, it was Li Ruantang who had lost her mind and sought marriage first. He was only trying to protect himself!

Glancing at Li Ruantang, who was listing her own merits, the young husband’s voice softened, and he blushed as he lied, “W-wife-master, Wife-master, don’t you remember me?”

The young husband’s voice was clear and handsome, coaxing Li Ruantang’s heart to be soft and sweet, and she spared no effort to protect him.

It wasn’t until they returned to the capital that Li Ruantang suddenly remembered.

When they had fallen off the cliff, in order not to implicate Wei Yunruo, whom he secretly admired, the young husband had instead pulled her, who was slightly farther away, down the cliff with him…

Short summary by Yuushi L: Initially, the male lead (ML) liked another girl, while the female lead (FL) liked the ML. Both fell off a cliff. The FL temporarily lost her memory, and the ML, fearing others might take advantage of him, claimed FL was his wife while they were staying in a village. Later, when they returned home, the FL regained her memories and remembered that the ML liked someone else, so she kept her distance from him. However, during their time living together in the countryside, the ML’s view of the FL had completely changed. From this point, his pursuit of the FL begins.
