Mrs. Park yelled at Yeon-woo’s departing figure.

“How dare you abandon your family for yourself!”

Biting her lip, Yeon-woo pondered Mrs. Park’s accusations.

Am I the ungrateful one? The selfish one?

If not abandoning my family means abandoning myself…

Should I live only to serve them forever?

If that’s what being a dutiful daughter means, then I refuse.

Tears welled in Yeon-woo’s eyes, but she didn’t cry this time.

Resolved never to return to her old life, she walked out the gate firmly.

Lost, Yeon-woo wandered aimlessly in the crowded market.

She had hoped seeing her family would change something.

Yeon-ho’s absence in broad daylight showed his continued disinterest in studies.

Mrs. Park’s first words were not of concern or joy, but complaints about Yeon-woo being like lost property.

She had hoped for some familial warmth, but nothing had changed.

She regretted leaving the unit.

The wind blew through the tear in her clothes, echoing her empty heart.

Then, a brightly dressed woman suddenly appeared, grabbing Yeon-woo.

“Oh my, sister! What happened to your shoulder? Your undershirt is showing!”
The cheerful voice belonged to Ki-hyang, who ran the biggest fabric store in the marketplace.

Ki-hyang, who called Yeon-woo “sister,” seemed a few years older than her.

“Who, who are you?”

“I’m Ki-hyang, the owner of that fabric store over there. We have pretty clothes; how about getting a new outfit?”

“Right now? So suddenly?”

Ki-hyang’s success in turning a small shop into the largest fabric store in the marketplace was partly due to her ability to mingle with people of all statuses and genders, and her proactive salesmanship.

Yeon-woo was taken aback by her sudden sales pitch.

“I’m not looking to buy.”

“Just come in and take a look, even if you don’t buy!”

“Uh, oh…”

Ki-hyang, whose arms were toned from handling heavy fabrics, was as strong as Yeon-woo, who trained in martial arts.

Pushed by the insistent Ki-hyang, Yeon-woo found herself entering the fabric store.

‘I didn’t plan to come in…!’

But, as expected of the most famous store in the marketplace, it was filled with beautiful clothes and fabrics.

Yeon-woo gaped in awe, prompting Ki-hyang to confidently shrug her shoulders.

“Our store has the best fabrics in the marketplace, right? Even the nobles come here for their clothes.”

“Really?”

“Yeah! Didn’t you know? Plus, we do the tailoring too, so no need to look elsewhere.”

Though she had only glimpsed this store before, Yeon-woo hadn’t realized it housed such beautiful fabrics.

‘I guess it’s okay just to look around? She said I don’t have to buy…’

Unaware of falling for Ki-hyang’s tactics, Yeon-woo began browsing.

Ki-hyang, with her charm, selected a few silks and presented them to Yeon-woo.

“I picked out some fabrics that would suit you, sister. What do you think?”

“Wow…”

The fabrics Ki-hyang spread out were colorful, luxurious, and suited Yeon-woo perfectly, reflecting the store’s excellent taste.

Yeon-woo, with her mouth agape, expressed her admiration.

“I’ve never seen such beautiful material.”

“Right? Our store is famous in the marketplace for a reason.”

Pleased with Yeon-woo’s genuine admiration, Ki-hyang beamed.

As Yeon-woo admired the fabrics, a bell chimed, signaling a new customer’s entry.

―Ding-dong.

Seeing the new customer, Ki-hyang’s eyes widened like a crescent moon, and her tone became even more enthusiastic.

“Oh! My Lord! You’ve come~!”

Apparently, an important customer had arrived.

Ki-hyang spoke to Yeon-woo, still engrossed in the fabrics.

“I’ll be right back. This is a very important customer.”

“I’m fine.”

“Then keep looking!”

As soon as Yeon-woo responded, Ki-hyang scurried to the new customer.

Behind Yeon-woo, Ki-hyang’s nasal voice filled the air.

“My Lord, have you come for the item you requested last time?”

The new customer, a man of few words, remained silent.

Curious about who the important customer was, Yeon-woo turned her head, soon regretting her decision.

A suppressed cry escaped her lips.

“Ah…!”

At the end of her gaze stood none other than Gun, the last person she should encounter in this situation.

“Hong Yeon-woo…?”

Shock rippled through Gun’s eyes as he faced Yeon-woo.
He looked at Yeon-woo, dressed as a woman, and slowly parted his lips.

“What in the world is going on here…?”

An Indifferent Woman is the One Men Desire the Most

One-line summary: The female lead is actually cold-hearted and extremely rational. She has stage-by-stage relationships and won’t two-time, but there will always be someone who secretly likes her.

This novel has the following triggers, so if you’re sensitive to these, please don’t read:

1. The female lead has had many relationships, but she treated each one seriously and broke up properly.

It’s just that the men unilaterally pestered her incessantly. For the female lead, when she doesn’t like someone anymore, she simply doesn’t like them.

(This applies to her relationships with Male Lead 1, 2, 3, and 4 as well, but she’s loyal in each 1-on-1 relationship!)

2. In this novel, Male Lead 2 and the female lead kiss in a car, and Male Lead 1 sees it and beats up Male Lead 2.

The female lead calls the police and sends both Male Lead 1 and 2 to the police station! Male Lead 1 begs the female lead not to break up with him.

3. Male Lead 1 has a gentle appearance but an obsessive personality.

Male Lead 2 has a delicate and soft appearance, slightly green tea-like (two-faced).

Male Lead 3 is a youthful college student and a smart person who has secretly liked the female lead for a long time.

Male Lead 4 is the female lead’s father’s special assistant, a business elite with deep, hidden thoughts.

4. At the beginning of this novel, the female lead has already broken up with Male Lead 1 (Chapter 4) and gotten back together with Male Lead 2 (ex-boyfriend).

5. Enter with caution if you have triggers!!!

You’re bound to regret it if you skip this novel. Read the review & spoiler to find out what you might be missing!
