“I offer my respects to His Royal Highness the Crown Prince.”

Adrian and his knights, having entered the southern coast, rode their horses for over an hour and a half straight until they reached the front lines.

The Fourth Prince, who had unfortunately been unable to avoid misfortune and ultimately fell in battle after being attacked by monsters.

Adrian headed toward the defensive line the prince had established and entered the command tent erected there. He took the head seat and immediately summoned the knights who had arrived a week earlier to hold back the Waves.

“So, was there no major incident over the past week? Judging from your actual encounters, how formidable are the monsters’ forces?”

“Yes, aside from the matter concerning His Highness the Fourth Prince… there have been no major issues. And personally, I feel the leaders are noticeably stronger—distinctly different from the previous Waves.”

“I see.”

“Of course, they weren’t as overwhelming as a wyvern swarm…”

The knight replied cautiously, glancing at Adrian as if worried he might have inadvertently touched a sore spot.

Just as expected, upon hearing “wyvern swarm,” Rilvan and Brian both turned simultaneously toward Adrian.

Rilvan’s eyes were especially filled with concern, yet Adrian showed no reaction at all.

Instead, he pointed at the map before him.

“I heard a three-headed ogre is leading the charge. Is the front line so widely spread because of that?”

“No, it isn’t that—it’s because we failed to herd them effectively.”
