Footsteps that sounded almost cheerful echoed through the ruined palace of the Kingdom of Wessex.

Once the official residence of a sovereign, the royal palace now stood without a single intact wall, appearing downright eerie.

Wearing military boots instead of high heels and her long cloak billowing behind her, she had reached the capital within just five days of setting foot on Wessex soil, spent seven days ransacking the poorly defended royal city, demolished buildings, dragged the trembling king from his throne, and ended his life.
