“What can I do for you?”
Ye Seul asked with calmness, hiding her bewilderment.
“Can I be nursed by my wife if I’m sick?”
“What kind of marital fantasy is that?”
As Ye Seul reprimanded, Si Heon smiled forlornly.
“I was always lonely when I was sick.”
In the season when the bellyache came, once the white snow accumulated in the garden of Seoljae, a fever would rise.
“Why were you alone? You had a grandfather.”
She knew that Si Heon’s parents had passed away early.
Did Chairman Baek leave his own adopted son and grandson alone when he was sick?
“Showing weakness is a sin.”
Si Heon muttered some inexplicable words.
“I guess you wanted to be nursed by your family like in dramas or movies.”
It was always the heart, not the body, that was sick, the heart that was hollow.
Ye Seul’s eyebrows narrowed.
She thought he had no loneliness because he always smiled with a fake smile.
“But don’t get sick.”
After Ye Seul lost her parents in an accident, she grew up surrounded by her grandmother and the members of the workshop.

In Paris, there were Sebastian and the Cidu family.
Although she was always surrounded by people, the absence of her parents always remained as sadness on one side of her heart.
Ye Seul had not been able to truly miss her parents because of the sin she had committed.
Could Si Heon, calling his wife his family, want to fill his deprived childhood?
Loneliness. The emptiness he wanted to fill with someone’s warmth, Ye Seul somehow felt like she knew it.
“Don’t worry. I don’t get sick that much.”
Si Heon pressed Ye Seul’s eyebrows with his finger.
Ye Seul’s eyes widened like a cat’s.
Ever since she saw him in Paris, she thought his shiny chocolatecolored eyes were beautiful.
That might be why she was tempted.
Thinking that tying him up with a contract would be enough, he was that grandfather’s grandson.

“I can’t really imagine Mr. Si Heon getting sick, but when you’re sick, you can use your wife’s chance.”
Ye Seul, who spoke as if she was doing him a favor, was cute and a smile lingered on Si Heon’s mouth.
This winter with Ye Seul by his side, he probably won’t think of the snowy Seoljae.
“If Miss Ye Seul gets sick, I will nurse you carefully in every corner.”
“Just nurse me, not every corner.”
As Ye Seul rolled her eyes, Si Heon draped his coat over her from behind.
“Merci. What kind of porridge do you like, Mr. Si Heon?”
“Are you going to make it for me?”
Si Heon laughed with a voice soaked in anticipation.
And he naturally wrapped his fingers around Ye Seul’s hand.
Ye Seul had no thought of refusing.
By the time I get used to this, this marriage will end.
Then, all this warmth and sensation could be completely forgotten.
“When you’re sick, I can make you die.”
“No, not death, but a chocolate pudding. I like chocolate pudding with figs on top.”
Ye Seul blinked her eyes and looked at Si Heon.
“That was a limited summer product from Seedoo….”
It was a product that Ye Seul planned as the first summer product of Seedoo’s Chocolatier and it was a huge hit.

Sebastian had praised Ye Seul’s confidence sky high.
It was the pudding that gave Ye Seul her start as a chocolatier.
Who would have thought to hear it from Si Heon’s mouth!
“I know.”
Si Heon, holding Ye Seul’s hand, left the CEO’s office and said.
“I went on a business trip to Tokyo last summer and tried it at Seedoo Tokyo. I thought I’d like to do business together if there was such a chocolatier.”
Si Heon was really a fan of Chloe Jang.
Ye Seul was envious of Chloe who came to France to receive love calls from Si Heon who trusted and acknowledged her.
Her own husband, who had not even thought of finding her for seven years, was shameless.
“You really like Chloe’s chocolate.”
Ye Seul said as if she was being spiteful.
“…..”
After a moment of silence, Si Heon gave a pleasant smile.
“I like it.”
Ye Seul thought her heart might stop. It wasn’t about those eyes.

She turned her head and exhaled.
It was a chocolate story, why was her heart trembling so much?
“Um. I like it. If you’re a fan, I’ll make it for you. But don’t get sick.”
“Are you worried about me?”
“Si Heon also worries about me. That’s all.”
Ye Seul added in a slightly creeping voice.
“Anyway, because you’re my husband.”
“It’s good to be a real couple.”
Si Heon lightly laughed and pressed the elevator button.
She made a promise she might not keep for a temporary wife.
Was it compassion for a comrade who lost his parents in his childhood?
She kept caring for him.
You shouldn’t make promises about the future in a marriage with a set grace period…
Is it compassion that her heart trembles in front of this man if it’s not love?
As the elevator arrived on the first floor, Ye Seul pulled her hand out of Si Heon’s.

Someone could see, different from the CEO’s office.
“What do you want to eat?”
As if he had read Ye Seul’s mind, Si Heon also let go of her hand without a word.
“Let’s go eat something with soup because it’s cold.”
“Sounds good. How about something like Bouillabaisse?”
When male lead is the homewrecker
“I know she doesn’t love him.”
I’ve read the novel below twice already. Girls, I’m highly recommending it to you!
The female lead? Not a good person.
The second male lead? Not a good person.
The male lead? Willingly plays the third party, breaking up the female and second male lead’s relationship despite all the warnings from his friends—so yeah, he’s definitely not a good person either.
Basically, nobody in this novel is simple-minded or without scheming.
The female lead starts off as the male lead’s secretary, but don’t worry—later on, she takes over the company while the male lead steps back to support her. He won’t steal her spotlight, overshadow her, or dull her shine.
I love novels where men are out here snatching wigs, tearing each other down, and going to war just to win the female lead’s affection. And this is exactly that kind of novel. Most of Hai Dai Ran’s works have this dynamic. You’ll see the male characters’ emotions being pushed to the absolute extreme.
There’s even a scene where the second male lead exposes the male lead online for being a homewrecker. The brotherhood immediately gangs up on him, dragging him through the mud. I find it compelling —it completely flips reality on its head, where usually, women are the ones fighting over a man and getting torn apart by the sisterhood.
For me, female leads in the novels I read should only struggle in their careers, not in love. But if the brainless romantics in the story are all men? I have zero complaints.
I’ve pretty much read all of Hai Dai Ran’s novels and even translated all of them—her works are just my thing. I’ll slowly upload everything here. One day, when my website is official, I hope I can invite her to join as one of the star authors.
