“Sigh……, why won’t it work?”
In the dim light of the dawn on the alleyways of Paris, Ye Seul’s trembling voice could be heard.
“Would it be better to just take it off?”
The man tugged at the hem of Ye Seul’s skirt with his fingers.
As soon as Ye Seul’s skirt hem lifted slightly, she pressed it down with her hand and bowed her head.
“I’m……not wearing anything under.”
She couldn’t possibly roam the streets wearing only her underwear.
The man turned his head away, covering his mouth. After a while, as if he’d made up his mind, he spoke to Ye Seul.
“It seems this is the best solution.”
The man stared at the edge of the skirt he had rolled up.
“If I pull it, it will all be seen……as it is.”
Ye Seul bit her lip and nodded.
“Ah…… anyway, hurry.”
Ye Seul felt embarrassed making such a request to a man she had just met.
But she couldn’t stay like this in the street forever.
“I really will do it.”
The man adjusted his position next to Ye Seul, who was awkwardly lying on the ground, and knelt down.

“Sigh……, tear it all up, please.”
Ye Seul closed her eyes, seemingly resigned.
“As you requested.”
Suddenly close, Ye Seul held her breath.
She didn’t know whether the faint smell of cocoa was her or the man’s.
She looked at the man’s fingertips, with a strange sense of tension.
“Wait…… wait a minute!”
When the man pulled the rolledup hem of the skirt, Ye Seul held his arm with a sense of regret.
The muscular arm, with its bulging veins, was surprisingly solid compared to the man’s skinny body.
“Oh……, it’s my first time today.”
“You’re the one who asked me to tear it up.”
The man retorted a bit sarcastically.
Releasing her grip on the man’s arm, Ye Seul slowly moved her gaze to the man’s face.
Dark black hair, a neat forehead, wellgroomed eyebrows, a prominent nose, stubbornlooking lips.
Even in the dim light of the dawn, where she could just identify her surroundings, she could tell the man was a rare beauty.

‘Have I met him before?’
His face felt familiar yet strange. Ye Seul didn’t want to remember and stopped her thoughts.
“I’m sorry.”
Ye Seul shook her head.
“Just tear it up. Don’t feel sorry.”
The man smirked, lifting the corner of his mouth.
When such a handsome man smiled, Ye Seul was momentarily stunned.
Could such a man really tear a skirt with his bare hands?
Rip.
As he put strength into his delicatelooking hand, the veins bulged out.
The edge of the thin, patterned cotton skirt ripped easily with a terrifying sound.
A man’s fingers brushed against the pristine white calves of Ye Seul. She felt needlessly embarrassed.
A man’s hoodie jacket dropped onto her exposed legs.

“Wrap this around you.”
The man reached out to Ye Seul. After a moment of hesitation, Ye Seul got up awkwardly, pretending not to see his extended hand.
The miserable aftermath of the torn skirt was visible.
The man’s hoodie jacket was hard to reject; it hid her plainly visible legs and she tied its sleeves around her waist.
“Thank you.”
With her face flaming red, Ye Seul lifted her head and looked straight into the man’s eyes.
His long eyelashes lifted, revealing his black eyes, deep enough to draw people in.
Ye Seul felt her heart pound, just like when she looked at the dessert in the showcase.
Was it the shock of falling?
“But safety should be considered when riding a bicycle, not just style.”
She was hurt by the man’s indifferent words.
“Today… was a special day…”
She regretted trying to make an excuse immediately.
It was a tragedy brought on by the long skirt, adorned with beautiful Indian dye she had fallen in love with at a flea market.

Because she left a bit later than usual and worried about being late for the opening time, she pedaled faster.
She hadn’t noticed her long, flowing skirt hem got tangled in the chain.
As she pedaled hard and raced, her legs started to show increasingly. Only then did she notice the severity of the situation.
In her confusion, she lost her balance and it seemed like she was about to collide with a man who was jogging.
What should I do! I’m going to crash!
Ye Seul tightly closed her eyes and turned the handle.
Fortunately, the man was safe.
Ye Seul, who was trying to avoid him, fell awkwardly.
The skirt hem, tightly wound in the chain, made it impossible for Ye Seul to move from her fallen position.
If the man hadn’t torn the skirt, she would have been stuck on the road, unable to separate the skirt tangled in the chain from the bicycle.

“Thank you so much. I owe my life to you.”
Ye Seul blinked her eyes as she bowed and raised her head.
Her white skin with red blush, plump lips, and catlike eyes were incredibly cute.
The man ended up meddling unnecessarily, something he usually wouldn’t do.
“You aren’t hurt anywhere, are you?”
Ye Seul approached Si Heon with a worried expression.
“It seems like you’re more hurt.”
The man’s gaze rested on Ye Seul’s hand.
She felt a sting in the palm she injured when she fell, but she hid her unsightly hand behind her.
“I’m okay with this, I often get hurt.”
When male lead is the homewrecker
“I know she doesn’t love him.”
I’ve read the novel below twice already. Girls, I’m highly recommending it to you!
The female lead? Not a good person.
The second male lead? Not a good person.
The male lead? Willingly plays the third party, breaking up the female and second male lead’s relationship despite all the warnings from his friends—so yeah, he’s definitely not a good person either.
Basically, nobody in this novel is simple-minded or without scheming.
The female lead starts off as the male lead’s secretary, but don’t worry—later on, she takes over the company while the male lead steps back to support her. He won’t steal her spotlight, overshadow her, or dull her shine.
I love novels where men are out here snatching wigs, tearing each other down, and going to war just to win the female lead’s affection. And this is exactly that kind of novel. Most of Hai Dai Ran’s works have this dynamic. You’ll see the male characters’ emotions being pushed to the absolute extreme.
There’s even a scene where the second male lead exposes the male lead online for being a homewrecker. The brotherhood immediately gangs up on him, dragging him through the mud. I find it compelling —it completely flips reality on its head, where usually, women are the ones fighting over a man and getting torn apart by the sisterhood.
For me, female leads in the novels I read should only struggle in their careers, not in love. But if the brainless romantics in the story are all men? I have zero complaints.
I’ve pretty much read all of Hai Dai Ran’s novels and even translated all of them—her works are just my thing. I’ll slowly upload everything here. One day, when my website is official, I hope I can invite her to join as one of the star authors.
