He had thought that luring Bercheria and taking her away would be a simple task.

At his muttering, Bercheria turned to Dikper and asked,

Dikper straightened his face and smiled broadly.

“You look tired, come rest here. I’ve arranged a comfortable spot.”

Bercheria walked closer to Dikper and bowed her head.

“Thank you. I hope I can repay you for today’s favor.”

She sat comfortably in the spot he had prepared.

Lakrahan had been wandering outside until dawn, unable to go to his bedroom.

Right after Bercheria had disappeared, he descended from the castle and looked around for any place where she might be.

Worried sick that she might have thrown her body somewhere and was hoping to self-heal.

He knew her powers had completely vanished and hadn’t returned, but the tiny hope that they might have scared him.

Knowing Bercheria would never make such a decision, he was still worried sick.

“Sigh.”

Two familiar feet suddenly appeared in front of Lakrahan, who had been circling the same spot.

Loren, who was panting heavily, staggered towards Lakrahan and grabbed his shoulder as soon as he saw him.
Lakrahan furrowed his brow as he saw Loren, who had come close as if to cling to him.

“How about you go inside and get some sleep if you’re okay now?”

“No. Can’t do that. Have things to do.”

Loren exhaled a long breath and straightened his back.

The lizard that had been hanging on Loren’s shoulder every day was nowhere to be seen today.

But that wasn’t what was important.

If Loren didn’t go inside, then it would suffice for Lakrahan to go in.

“Then I’ll be going. Prince Loren.”

Lakrahan gave Loren a brief nod.

As he turned his body to return to his room, Loren grabbed his cloak.

Lakrahan’s lips twitched as he felt his neck tighten from being pulled backwards.

He intended to tell him to go inside and sleep since it’s late, but Loren said something unexpected.

“Bercheria.”

Lakrahan reflexively took a step closer to Loren.

It wasn’t ‘do you know where she is,’ it was ‘I’ve found where she is.’

“You’re saying you’ve found Bercheria?”

“Yes. That. Exactly that.”

Loren finally seemed to breathe more easily, expanding his chest.
