“I didn’t realize you were so fond of holding hands.”

He turned his eyes back to Deborah and studied her face. She looked even more flustered than before. Could it really be that troubling to have shared a handshake slightly longer than average with him?

‘Probably not that. Ah—unless…’

Cedric, struck by a sudden thought, carefully said to Deborah,

“Just in case you’re wondering, I didn’t handle Mr. Johnson’s luggage. Another maid at Lady Saint’s residence helped.”
