Even if Your Regret Holds Me Back (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 62
Outside the window, the sun had long since set. To think he’d been tied up like this until things came to such a state. She was a woman who nagged at his mind, whether she was in front of him or not.
“Ha….”
Another dry sigh passed through his lips. At that moment, a faint footstep pierced the quiet darkness.
The footsteps grew closer until they stopped right before his door. Soon, someone rapped lightly on the wooden panel and entered—just as expected, it was Lily.
He couldn’t burden a child with his gloom. Ian deliberately softened his somber expression to greet her.
Seeing him like that, Lily thumped her tiny chest with her miniature hands.
“Ahem! Ever since I heard from Uncle Sakin, I knew you’d be like this! But don’t worry—I’m here now!”
“Where did you get those clothes, Lily? And those glasses look just like Master Gelda’s. Didn’t you get scolded?”
“That’s enough! I’m not Lily anymore! I’m Rolin, the all-purpose messenger who delivers anything!”
Lily withdrew an arm from within her cloak, lifted the tip of her removed bowler hat, and bowed—a flamboyant gesture, as if she were a circus ringmaster.
She continued her fluid motions while explaining her duties. Ian leaned his temple against his fist and waited patiently until Lily finished her self-introduction before asking,
“So, what are you here to deliver to me, oh great problem-solver?”
His lips had relaxed considerably. Facing him, Lily fiddled with the amber-colored cloth pouch hanging from her waist. The distinct feel of lumpy coins pressed clearly against her fingers.
Helena had just slipped them in moments earlier. Lily mentally replayed Helena’s words as she paid for the apples and added one last message:
“By the way, tell him even a full-grown man shouldn’t sulk over something like this.”

Male lead fell into her trap — and shattered when she walked away
This is also on my reread list!
This one is a slow burn, but when it burns, it burns hard.
Definitely worth a read, y’all!

The story follows a thousand-year-old seductive spirit who, on a bet, sets out to charm the male lead—a once-promising but unfortunate cultivator.
But just when she succeeds in making him fall for her, she heartlessly leaves, driving him to madness.
Determined to find her at all costs, he captures her, keeping her by his side no matter what, even if she hates him.
I love this kind of trope—I enjoy watching the male lead suffer in agony.
The ending drags a bit with unnecessary filler, but that’s fine.
As long as I enjoy the beginning, I’m good.
