Natasha hugged her swollen belly as if it were made of gold and jewels, boasting proudly. Christine, standing before her, couldn’t hide the nauseated look on her face.

Yet Natasha remained undeterred, chattering on cheerfully.

Each syllable dripped with seething anger. The overt threat was as sharp as a blade pressed against the foot.

Though seemingly calm, Christine’s long nails were digging into the tablecloth. Natasha’s green eyes didn’t miss a thing.
