Even if Your Regret Holds Me Back (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 112
“You… were you from the Spencer family?”
“Hmm.”
Gelda paused for a moment, though she had been the one to ask questions just earlier. She tapped the tabletop with her index finger before suddenly standing up.
“Seeing something with your own eyes is better than a hundred words.”
Gelda strode into Flam’s room, attached to the smithy. Her hands rummaged around naturally, as if she were in her own space.
“He must have stashed it somewhere around here…”
Gelda opened every closed drawer she came across until she finally stopped in front of a box about the size of a document. It was a wooden case lined with fire-rat hide, resistant even to flames.
The box, finished with unusually careful precision, had a lock on it. Gelda crouched down and tried various numbers before grabbing her head in frustration.
“He must’ve thought this through… Still, that simpleton wouldn’t pick a number even he himself couldn’t remember.”
Rubbing her chin, Gelda muttered, “Maybe…?” and then clicked the numbers into place. As soon as she turned the last digit, a soft *click* sounded.
“Seriously, that exact day?”
Gelda opened the box with a stunned expression. Helena glanced at the combination and asked casually,
“What’s so special about February 17th?”
“Just… well, it’s the day I dragged that moldy old man out by his hair.”
Gelda pulled out a rolled-up piece of parchment from the box and stood. It was a document of visibly high quality, tied with a red cord.

Male lead fell into her trap — and shattered when she walked away
This is also on my reread list!
This one is a slow burn, but when it burns, it burns hard.
Definitely worth a read, y’all!

The story follows a thousand-year-old seductive spirit who, on a bet, sets out to charm the male lead—a once-promising but unfortunate cultivator.
But just when she succeeds in making him fall for her, she heartlessly leaves, driving him to madness.
Determined to find her at all costs, he captures her, keeping her by his side no matter what, even if she hates him.
I love this kind of trope—I enjoy watching the male lead suffer in agony.
The ending drags a bit with unnecessary filler, but that’s fine.
As long as I enjoy the beginning, I’m good.
