Ensnared by the Trap (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 2
‘Things are going to be different from now on.’
Se Hee turned around and confidently returned to her seat.
She sat up straight, focused intently on her work, and when the clock struck exactly 6 p.m., she left the office sharply on time.
However, Se Hee’s expression was dark.
Just because she had resolved to change didn’t mean the situation would suddenly improve.
She was starting her vacation tomorrow, yet she had no plans at all.
Because of the wedding invitation Hyun Joon had handed her, she had impulsively submitted her leave request.
For the one month she’d be on leave, she wouldn’t have to see that trash Hyun Joon’s face, but after that?
All that came out were sighs.
She had barely endured things until now—could she really keep seeing a married Hyun Joon’s face every day?
Se Hee didn’t have the confidence to face that horrific future.
In the end, she might have to request a department transfer, or perhaps even leave the company.
The thought that she might have to abandon the company that had been her everything because of that piece of trash.
Her mood sank to the bottom, and her heart grew troubled.
Soon, waves of depression came crashing in.
‘No. I won’t let myself be dragged down by negative feelings.’
Se Hee shook her head.
You’ve already suffered enough.
Lee Se Hee!
Don’t tremble with anxiety over a future that hasn’t come yet.
At the very least, I want to spend this one month completely for myself.
I’ll think about what comes after when the time comes.
Because I’ve truly decided to change now.
Strengthening her resolve once more, Se Hee focused her eyes—and a huge travel agency sign caught her gaze.
A luxurious cruise ship like a pure white castle floating on a deep blue sea.
Spectacular onboard parties held every night and beautiful port-of-call excursions.
Mesmerized by the dazzling advertisement playing on the electronic billboard, Se Hee stood there for a while, unable to look away.
Yes, that’s it.
Without a single hesitation, Se Hee strode forward energetically.
“Welcome.”
As soon as Se Hee stepped inside the travel agency, a male employee greeted her warmly with a friendly voice.
“What kind of trip is our customer looking for?”
Perhaps because it was a travel agency, he immediately asked about travel plans.
“Yes. I’d like to inquire about the cruise trip that’s currently being advertised.”
“Ah! A cruise. That’s truly an excellent choice.”
Overjoyed by her answer, the man instantly spread out a cruise brochure right in front of her.
“Your fiancé must be very busy? Well, these days it’s usually the brides-to-be who take care of everything meticulously.”
The casual remark felt like a heavy stone pressing down on Se Hee’s chest.
“……It’s not a honeymoon. I’m traveling alone. Is that a problem?”
The travel agent’s face froze for a moment as he looked at the dejected Se Hee.
“Huh? N-no, of course not at all. Cruises are originally perfect for family trips—no, they’re trips anyone can enjoy alone too. That’s one of their biggest charms.”
The employee’s expression as he tried to hide his panic was almost pitiful.
“Then, could you show me packages for solo travelers?”
“Yes, yes, of course, of course. Would you mind waiting just a moment?”
Trying hard to keep a neutral face, the employee quickly stood up after getting Se Hee’s permission.
A short while later, he returned with a delighted expression.
“Customer! I’ve found the perfect package for you. However, time is a bit tight. The cruise departs from Venice Port in Italy five days from now.”
He opened the brochure he was holding.
“It’s the very last remaining cabin. We can prepare the flight right away. What do you think?”
“……The itinerary looks fine.”
Trending
If they arranged the flight to Italy for her, Se Hee had no particular issues.
“Great? You’ve made a wonderful decision. It’s a Mediterranean cruise, with fantastic stops like Rome in Italy and Santorini in Greece.”
Once again, the employee bragged with exaggerated gestures.
Mediterranean, Santorini.
It was a place Se Hee had always dreamed of visiting.
“If no other passenger books the second spot, you might be able to use a double cabin at the single-occupancy rate.”
He added that little tip.
“Sounds good. I’ll go with this one.”
“You’re so decisive, customer. This is the Decora Ho, the newest ship from Evans Shipping Company, making its maiden voyage from England this time.”
Evans Shipping Company? Evans Hotel?
As someone working in the same industry, Se Hee knew well that Evans Hotel was a global hotel chain headquartered in England.
“If it’s Evans, I won’t have to worry about the cabins or service.”
“So you know the Evans Group, customer.”
The employee’s face brightened, thinking the conversation would go smoothly now, and he brought out stacks of additional pamphlets, passionately explaining the cruise.
The cruise lasted about two weeks.
Perhaps because of the long duration or because it was a balcony cabin more expensive than a standard room, the price was quite burdensome.
After a moment of hesitation, Se Hee decided to use the wedding savings she had never touched.
She boldly broke the savings account she had diligently built while dreaming alone of a happy future with Hyun Joon—right there on the spot.
Why had she been saving it so preciously anyway?
Thinking of it as the best gift to herself, she immediately transferred the withdrawn amount to the travel agency.
Holding the signed contract, Se Hee decided to think only about the exciting parties held every night on the luxurious cruise ship, the refreshing sea breeze, and the beautiful port excursions ahead.

The VVIP suite on the top floor—21st deck—of the Decora Cruise.
The sunset glow pouring in through the transparent balcony windows dyed the entire cabin red.
Kyle, dressed impeccably in a black suit, straightened his clothes one last time before heading to the venue.
His cold eyes stared at his perfectly buttoned reflection in the mirror.
“Time?”
“Ten minutes to go.”
“Let’s move.”
Kyle ended the brief exchange with his secretary Dave and headed to the ceremony hall.
Evans Hotel had completed its European expansion from its UK headquarters and was now planning to extend into Asia.
At that turning point, Kyle was attempting yet another new challenge.
A top-class hotel on the sea.
A cruise.
In keeping with the prestige of Evans Hotel, he planned to build Evans Hotel resorts at every port where the cruise ships docked, not just offer the finest hotel experience on board.
Kyle was already renowned in the industry for his outstanding business acumen and relentless drive, but this cruise line venture highlighted his aggressive side even more.
Finally, tomorrow.
The maiden voyage of Decora Ho, the largest cruise ship of Evans Cruise Line.
To commemorate it, a grand ceremony with all crew members was scheduled in the main banquet hall.
Kyle, walking quickly toward the venue, stopped at the end of the wide corridor leading to the grand banquet hall.
The area was decorated as a gallery.
Works by famous artists were displayed for the passengers boarding Decora Ho.
Kyle’s gaze landed on one particular painting exhibited there.
It was a piece where red and yellow blended together like a sunset, embracing each other.
“I had it moved here as you instructed to keep it away from the center.”
Dave quickly added an explanation.
Even the sharp-eyed Dave didn’t notice the brief flicker in Kyle’s cool gaze.
“How much time left?”
“Five minutes.”
Kyle resumed walking toward the banquet hall.

At exactly 5 p.m., as promised, Kyle Graham Evans, CEO of Evans Cruise Line, appeared in the grand banquet hall.
Every crew member waiting turned their eyes to him at once.
The moment the CEO’s entrance was announced, the packed hall fell completely silent, as if empty.
Rumors of Kyle’s cold-blooded, icy image had already spread among the crew.
Yet the moment he stepped onto the stage, gasps of admiration burst out here and there, as if prearranged—his beauty far exceeding imagination.
“Good evening. I am Kyle Graham Evans, CEO of Evans Shipping Company.”
His low, calm voice introducing himself echoed through the hall.
The overwhelming charisma that naturally flowed from him instantly dominated the entire space.
After finishing his greeting and stepping down from the stage, Captain Marcus approached Kyle.
“Good evening, sir.”
The old captain with neatly combed white hair had sun-tanned skin that seemed to embody a lifetime on rough seas.
“Please ensure this voyage goes smoothly, Captain Marcus.”
Kyle’s voice toward the captain was firm, more command than request.
The captain, who thought his own charisma was second to none, instantly felt that this young CEO was no ordinary man.
“Of course I will do my utmost… but for seafarers like us who entrust our lives to the ocean, the ‘curse of the Zaina Ho’ is something we can’t help but be concerned about.”
Yet this was a matter that absolutely had to be addressed, so the captain had stepped forward on behalf of everyone.
“The Decora Ho of Evans Cruise Line will not be swayed by superstitions.”
Kyle’s reply, however, was as cold as Arctic ice.
Captain Marcus was by no means an easy man; his face alone revealed the toughness of a sailor who had survived harsh seas for decades.
Even so, he was completely overpowered by Kyle’s response.
The captain gave a light bow, turned away, and could only swallow his bitterness while watching Kyle’s retreating back.

Five days passed in the blink of an eye.
Se Hee was now looking up at the exotic blue sky at Venice International Airport in Italy.
After taking the bus arranged by the travel agency from the airport, Se Hee arrived at Venice Port where the cruise was docked.
Seeing the majestic white cruise ship under the intense sun, Se Hee’s heart fluttered on its own.
A world she had never known was about to unfold right before her eyes.
In Se Hee’s hand was the boarding pass that would let her enter that new world.
Excitement outweighed any fear of the unfamiliar place.
Feeling the sea breeze blowing freely fill her heart, Se Hee stepped forward.
Near the cruise ship, crew members in crisp white uniforms were checking in passengers’ luggage at a prepared desk.
Se Hee pulled her large suitcase and joined the line of waiting passengers.
“Hello.”
When it was her turn, the crew member saw her nationality on the passport and greeted her playfully in clumsy Korean.
“Hello.”
Se Hee smiled and greeted back.
Thanks to the kind crew, she quickly checked her luggage and finally boarded the cruise ship.
The ship was already bustling with passengers who had boarded before her.
Se Hee headed to her assigned cabin while admiring the splendid deck.
Room 1305.
Upon entering, a refreshing sea breeze blew in from the open balcony that offered an unobstructed view of the beautiful ocean.
Cabin rates varied enormously depending on whether there was a window or balcony.
But since it was the last room available, she hadn’t had a choice, so Se Hee had to pay the expensive balcony cabin rate.
Now that she saw it, she loved it so much that she would have regretted not having such a pretty balcony.
On the table inside the room, a welcome bottle of wine and chocolates were neatly arranged for boarding passengers.
On the neatly made bed lay the full itinerary, event schedule, and detailed program guide for the entire trip.
A little later, her suitcase was delivered to the room as well.
Everything was perfect without a single inconvenience.
Se Hee first looked over the itinerary.
The first port that caught her eye was Santorini, arriving on the third day of sailing.

The Santorini of her dreams.
It was a place she had originally wanted to visit on her honeymoon.
Honeymoon.
Marriage.
Cha Hyun Joon.
The words that popped up one after another like linked chains instantly dragged Se Hee into a swamp of depression.
“No. I came all this way—I won’t do this. I decided to change, remember.”
Se Hee shook her head as if to shake off the heavy gloom.
“Should I unpack?”
Saying it loudly on purpose to lift her mood, Se Hee stood up and brought her suitcase to the bed.
She had prepared so much for this trip; she couldn’t ruin precious time thinking about Hyun Joon.
Se Hee began taking clothes out of the suitcase and putting them away.
When she lifted the very last piece of clothing, a pure white card that had been mixed in fell to the floor with a thud.
Se Hee stopped moving and looked down at the card with a cold expression.
The shape of the open card was extremely familiar.
Recognizing it, an incredulous sigh escaped Se Hee’s lips.
“Ha, no way?”
Male lead is reincarnated to save his wife
I’ve also read this one twice already. The female lead is kinda soft and gets embarrassed easily—not really my type, but the plot is definitely worth reading. Hurry up and read it, y’all!

Intro
When Shen Yuan encountered Su Jin again in his previous life, she had already become the Prime Minister of the current dynasty. As for him, the former top young master of the capital, he had long since fallen into the abyss, becoming a singer on a pleasure boat.
After a song ended, he was redeemed and sent to the Su Residence.
Su Jin respected and cherished him, gave him a roof over his head, and bestowed him with warmth. Shen Yuan fell deeper and deeper, but before he could express his feelings, Su Jin passed away.
Shen Yuan died to follow her in death, but instead, he returned to when he was fifteen years old.
At that time, he was not yet engaged, and Su Jin was just a poor scholar.
Shen Yuan gritted his teeth, casting aside all his pride, and thought of ways to coax and entice her every day.
The colder and more indifferent Su Jin was towards him, the more proactive Shen Yuan became.
He was not afraid of being mocked by the world, only wanting to marry his Wife-master early, to hold her hand and never let go for a lifetime.
[Note: This story will not specifically point out the male lead’s reincarnation time point; it’s all in the details. Whenever you feel that the male lead is acting strangely, he has most likely been reincarnated.]
