Se Hee happily grabbed In Kyung’s arm as she saw her entering with Kyle.

How long had it been since they last met like this?

Compared to the last time she saw In Kyung, she had lost so much weight that Se Hee’s nose stung with emotion.

“Your face… you look so worn out.”

Se Hee looked at In Kyung with a pitying expression.

“I’m okay now. The doctor said the treatment went really well.”

In Kyung gently patted the back of Se Hee’s hand.

“Was this the reason you wouldn’t let me video call you?”

From the moment she started chemotherapy, In Kyung had repeatedly asked Se Hee not to visit the hospital.

She was worried that the treatment drugs might somehow affect the baby in Se Hee’s belly.

Whenever Se Hee had an obstetric checkup, she begged to at least see her face from afar, but In Kyung had refused so harshly back then.

She stubbornly insisted on only phone calls, afraid that Se Hee would worry seeing her looking haggard from treatment.

“Who would call this a good look? Phone calls were enough.”
