Kyle, seemingly intoxicated not by the alcohol but by Sehee’s appearance, gazed at her with a pleasant smile.
“Shall we head to the Pantheon then?”
With a cheerful voice, Sehee, having emptied her glass completely, stood up.
The two held hands and began to walk.
“I really wanted to see the temple in Athens. But that day, I ended up sleeping all day, so I missed the chance to visit the destination. I don’t know how disappointing it was.”
Sehee lightly shook Kyle’s hand, which she had been holding, as if complaining.
“Why did you do that that day?”
Kyle furrowed his brows as if something was coming to his mind.
Instantly, Sehee’s face turned red.
“W-Well, you see. I don’t know why. It’s an old memory, and it’s a bit hazy.”
Sehee pretended not to know and said.

Chuckling, Kyle snorted.
The Pantheon they arrived at was originally built by Agrippa as a place to hold ceremonies for the gods of Olympus. It housed the main gods of Rome in the round main hall.
“Kyle, among the twelve gods, doesn’t it seem like you resemble Hades, the underground god? You know, a force similar to the god of darkness.”
Sehee, taking a picture, playfully teased.
“Hades? Is it because I don’t hesitate with fire and water if there’s something I want? Do you also know that Hades kidnapped Persephone, the daughter of the goddess of the earth, to make her his wife?”
Kyle raised his eyebrows.
“And perhaps you know this too? Another name for Hades is Pluto.”
Kyle smiled with a meaningful expression.
“Pluto?”
“Underworld god Hades, also known as Pluto, was called the owner of the treasures buried in the ground. That aspect seems a bit similar, don’t you think?”

He smiled, pretending to be knowledgeable.
“Oh… I see.”
I should stop talking.
As if admitting defeat, Sehee shook her head.
“Lord Pluto, in that sense, will you buy me gelato?”
In the end, it was the two of them laughing at Sehee’s playful suggestion.
Walking through the streets of Rome, Sehee tightly held hands with Kyle.
His large hand felt really good.
When they first met, he was so cold.
Thinking he was ruthless, she even wondered if the warmth from this hand would also be cold.

She vaguely recalled being surprised at how warm it was.
When Sehee chuckled, Kyle, who was walking with her, looked down at her with a gentle gaze.
Looking up at Kyle with a bright smile, Sehee said, “Isn’t it a really nice day for a date?”
She wanted to say those words.
And she wanted to add that she loved him.
However, because it wasn’t the right time to blurt out those words, Sehee decided to save them for later.
Feeling that those words might pop out any moment, she lightly bit her lips.
Was it because of the wonderful time spent with Kyle?
She didn’t even notice that it was already evening.
But thanks to Kyle’s well-planned arrangements, Sehee arrived at the restaurant he had reserved on time.

For Sehee, who had sung a song about wanting to eat Italian pasta, Kyle guided her to a famous pasta restaurant in Rome.
“Can you handle this much? I only ordered the most basic things. Lord Pluto! Cream pasta, seafood pasta, risotto, and something else reasonable.”
Even though the table was already filled with food, Sehee shamelessly said.
“Are you talking about the cost? Or the amount of food?”
Kyle asked.
“Of course, both.”
Sehee narrowed her eyes.
“The first one is obvious, and if you have to handle the latter, I’ll gladly accept it.”
Kyle replied with an indifferent expression.
“Okay. Shall we eat aggressively then?”
Cheering, Sehee attacked the food.

“I’ve said it before, but there’s no need to go on a date so aggressively.”
Kyle looked at Sehee with a relaxed smile.
With her mouth already full of food, Sehee just nodded and raised the corners of her mouth.
The joy of eating seemed like everything in the world.
After finishing dinner in Rome, the two of them narrowly returned to the Decano Hotel.
Although her body was extremely tired, Sehee’s mood felt like it could soar to the sky.
And she didn’t want to part like this.
It was time to execute the plan she had promised in the morning and failed last night.
With a trembling heart, Sehee cautiously looked at Kyle.
“Are you very tired?”

Are you tired? Shall we rest together?
Should I say that?
No.
That’s too direct.
Sehee pondered on how to hold onto Kyle with words.
“I’m fine. Are you tired? I thought about having a cocktail or something. Well, we’ll have to postpone it to the next opportunity.”
Looking at Kyle, who was taking the words literally, Sehee struggled to find the right words to convey her intentions.
“Oh, no. It’s not that.”
Although she looked at Kyle with a subtle expression as if tempting him, it seemed that he couldn’t understand the intended meaning.
“No, really. It’s okay. Let’s go. For a cocktail.”

Forget it.
For now, Sehee decided not to let him go.
Seated at a vacant table on the deck with a view of the sea, the two ordered cocktails.
“I really enjoyed today. Thanks to Kyle.”
Due to the fatigue from walking around many places, Sehee’s face, even with the low-alcohol cocktail, loosened quickly.
“It was so much fun, like getting married and going on a honeymoon… or something.”
Overflowing with emotions due to the alcohol, Sehee’s voice melted into the watercolor.
Ah… This isn’t the atmosphere.
Hastily suppressing her emotions, Sehee drank the cocktail.
“Then it wasn’t real?”

Kyle emptied his glass in one gulp.
“I’ve been sincere all along.”
His deep voice lowered.
Kyle’s calm eyes settled solely on Sehee.
Sehee’s heart sensitively responded to his sincere attitude.
Was everything really sincere?
It wasn’t a wedding event, but an actual wedding?
“Now, if you say it’s hard to handle at this point, it’s awkward. Because it’s already started.”
I don’t have the intention of letting go sincerely.
Lee Sehee.
Kyle’s intense gaze stared directly at Sehee.

Capturing the appearance of Sehee, who was shaken by the statement that it was sincere.
Sehee’s gaze, staring at Kyle with a vacant expression, was highly provocative.
In a moment, Kyle’s gaze, subtly changed, lazily swept over her.
Just that gaze alone made Sehee feel like she was melting.
Flustered, Sehee lowered her head and spoke.
“But if you say you’re tired today, I’ll respect your opinion.”
Unfortunately, Kyle, who misunderstood it, immediately sorted out his feelings.
No, that’s not it?
Sehee quickly raised her head, but Kyle’s gaze, which had been subtle, had already calmly transformed into a rational one.
Oh my goodness.

There’s no need to be unnecessarily gentle like this.
To create this kind of mood and then, today of all days, not wanting to be respected?
No! Don’t respect me.
I mean, don’t do it.
However, she couldn’t bring herself to say those words out loud.
Sehee’s heart, smiling silently at Kyle, was burning with black flames.
When male lead is the homewrecker
“I know she doesn’t love him.”
I’ve read the novel below twice already. Girls, I’m highly recommending it to you!
The female lead? Not a good person.
The second male lead? Not a good person.
The male lead? Willingly plays the third party, breaking up the female and second male lead’s relationship despite all the warnings from his friends—so yeah, he’s definitely not a good person either.
Basically, nobody in this novel is simple-minded or without scheming.
The female lead starts off as the male lead’s secretary, but don’t worry—later on, she takes over the company while the male lead steps back to support her. He won’t steal her spotlight, overshadow her, or dull her shine.
I love novels where men are out here snatching wigs, tearing each other down, and going to war just to win the female lead’s affection. And this is exactly that kind of novel. Most of Hai Dai Ran’s works have this dynamic. You’ll see the male characters’ emotions being pushed to the absolute extreme.
There’s even a scene where the second male lead exposes the male lead online for being a homewrecker. The brotherhood immediately gangs up on him, dragging him through the mud. I find it compelling —it completely flips reality on its head, where usually, women are the ones fighting over a man and getting torn apart by the sisterhood.
For me, female leads in the novels I read should only struggle in their careers, not in love. But if the brainless romantics in the story are all men? I have zero complaints.
I’ve pretty much read all of Hai Dai Ran’s novels and even translated all of them—her works are just my thing. I’ll slowly upload everything here. One day, when my website is official, I hope I can invite her to join as one of the star authors.
