Faisar finally set down his brush after completing nearly half of the portrait coloring.

He had started the session early in the morning, and it had now stretched close to five hours.

Diana rotated her neck while massaging her stiff shoulders.

“I’m sorry it took so long.”

“It’s fine. I was just sitting anyway.”

Diana rose from the wide sofa and smiled. Yet, unlike her gentle expression, her heart felt gloomy.

Although Faisar had chosen Diana as his muse, her mood remained flustered and parched, like a flower blooming mistakenly in the desert.

The reason she couldn’t fully enjoy this incredible stroke of luck was Raoul, who had vanished without a trace for an entire week.

After seeing Faisar off, Diana hurried straight to Raoul’s bedroom without even pausing to wash up.

Though her dress reeked of oil and she longed to soak in hot water immediately, she simply couldn’t wait any longer.

“At best, we meet once a month, if that. Winter’s almost here—how many chances do we have left for you to treat me this coldly…? I don’t want us to part like strangers. I just want to leave behind happy, joyful memories.”

To reach the second-floor servants’ quarters from the studio, she inevitably had to pass through the training yard.

Diana quickened her pace, eager to escape the empty space now devoid of Raoul.

“I admit defeat…! So what if I’m a little socially awkward? I’m endlessly kind to those close to me.”

There were only a few days left when she could indulge Raoul’s adorable complaints.
