Atia, who arrived a bit later than Heidegger, admired his agility.
But only for a moment.
Her eyes widened at the sight of the man and woman seen through the rock gap.
Heidegger’s expression, watching this, was also far from ordinary.
Unlike the open areas, this place was dark with shadow, making it difficult to see even when someone came close.
As they approached, the sound of voices grew louder.
When they got a little closer, they could see a man and woman tightly holding each other, playfully embracing through the gap in the rocks.
They didn’t know when they had arrived, but they had built two snowmen and piled them up. They had tried various and many things, the traces of which were clearly visible.
[Our love is eternal.] [I have but one heart, and it knows but you.]ads
The blatant words were boldly engraved on the snow.
“Cawcaw!”
They seemed completely engrossed in their world, unaware that people were approaching.
“Ah, darling. What will people think if they see us?”
“Who’s going to come here? Even a wife wouldn’t find us here.”
“But right now, I’m your wife~ Ah, I don’t know, I don’t know, I don’t know!”
“Ahahaha! You’re such a tease. Looks like I’ll have to teach you a lesson today!”
The two, practically entwined, were whispering sweet nothings, rubbing their cheeks together, embracing, and causing quite a stir.
Atia barely managed to suppress the urge to retch.
She rubbed the soft fur of Heuggu to soothe her nausea.

‘Adultery. It’s absolutely terrible.’
Why are they doing this in the sacred mountain instead of just getting a room in an inn?
It seems like hiking adulterous couples exist everywhere in the world.
One of the places where adultery is most common was the mountain.
But who would have thought that it applied even to the Northern Mountain Range.
‘Indeed, humans are astonishing.’
Atia shook her head.
Heidegger, standing a little ahead of Atia and silently watching, cleared his throat to verify their identities.
“Ahem. Over there.”
The man and woman, who noticed their presence, were horribly surprised.

They broke their tight embrace and needlessly tried to straighten their hair and clothes.
Indeed, the power of love was remarkable.
It made them unaware of the cold even in this weather.
The man was dressed as if he was at a swimming pool, and the woman was practically wearing an offshoulder outfit.
“I need to verify if you’re residents of the Duchy.”
At Heidegger’s words, the man tried to escape out of embarrassment, but by then, knights had already surrounded them.
The woman covered her face with her hands.
The man’s face turned beet red and he bit his lips.
Heidegger looked at them with narrowed eyes.
“If you don’t speak, I can only suspect you’re intruders.”

“Well, that is….”
“State your residence and name.”
“Well, that is….”
The stuttering man, realizing there was no way out, made a lastditch effort.
“Well, who exactly are you to verify my identity….”
“I am Heidegger, the ancestral Duke of the Wellington family.”
“Gulp!”
“This is a private property of the Duke’s house and it’s inaccessible to those not related.”
“Well….”
“How did you get in here?”

Even though several years had passed and the geography had changed significantly, it was still the Duke’s private land.
They had posted noentry signs and blocked off any entrances other than the one leading to the Duke’s residence.
If these two were not spies but commoners, they must have undertaken a tremendous adventure.
“Ah, well… you see…. about that….”
The man surveyed the knights around him, intuitively knowing that he held a very high position.
The situation necessitated revealing his identity.
The man stepped forward towards Heidegger and bowed his head.
“Please… please, don’t tell anyone at home! I’ll tell the truth! I beg you like this!”
He remained unabashed, his cheekiness enduring to the end.
Despite the man’s plea, Heidegger didn’t bat an eye.
In the first place, this place was an area inaccessible to anyone but the members of the Duke’s house.

He had violated that unwritten rule and infiltrated here.
Heidegger decided to manage strictly according to the regulations.
A bit late, Casus, who had dismounted from his horse, narrowed his brows.
From the writing on the paper to the scattered food crumbs, all traces of love left on someone else’s property remained.
“This is not a place where anyone can come and go.”
“……”
“I was too lax in managing the mountain range.”
“Please… Please forgive me just once… I will never do it again, okay?”
The man’s complexion turned pale, fearing that the village would find out.
In fact, it wasn’t his first time cheating.

If the fact that he cheated again is revealed to the village, it was clear what kind of treatment he would receive from the villagers.
The woman was also married.
When her husband had gone to another region, it was just a momentary flame of fun.
The problem was the location of that flame.
When male lead is the homewrecker
“I know she doesn’t love him.”
I’ve read the novel below twice already. Girls, I’m highly recommending it to you!
The female lead? Not a good person.
The second male lead? Not a good person.
The male lead? Willingly plays the third party, breaking up the female and second male lead’s relationship despite all the warnings from his friends—so yeah, he’s definitely not a good person either.
Basically, nobody in this novel is simple-minded or without scheming.
The female lead starts off as the male lead’s secretary, but don’t worry—later on, she takes over the company while the male lead steps back to support her. He won’t steal her spotlight, overshadow her, or dull her shine.
I love novels where men are out here snatching wigs, tearing each other down, and going to war just to win the female lead’s affection. And this is exactly that kind of novel. Most of Hai Dai Ran’s works have this dynamic. You’ll see the male characters’ emotions being pushed to the absolute extreme.
There’s even a scene where the second male lead exposes the male lead online for being a homewrecker. The brotherhood immediately gangs up on him, dragging him through the mud. I find it compelling —it completely flips reality on its head, where usually, women are the ones fighting over a man and getting torn apart by the sisterhood.
For me, female leads in the novels I read should only struggle in their careers, not in love. But if the brainless romantics in the story are all men? I have zero complaints.
I’ve pretty much read all of Hai Dai Ran’s novels and even translated all of them—her works are just my thing. I’ll slowly upload everything here. One day, when my website is official, I hope I can invite her to join as one of the star authors.
Here’s the story synopsis:
