‘Some are being trained to death… Madam’s vicinity is so pink.’
But seeing the bright and healthy Atia, Kesha also felt uplifted.
Even though she used to twist the training ground with strange slogans before, now she seemed healthier than back then.
“Kkeung… Tea.”
Harri sat on the mat and stretched as Kesha had taught her.
While stretching, she didn’t take her eyes off the passing knights outside.
Men were visible through the gaps in the curtains.
From a man with a broad build to a tall man with thick thighs.
There were many men that suited Hari’s taste.
Even though there aren’t many people in the gym right now, it would be even better if those knights came later to exercise together.
‘But there’s no one as talented as the Duke and the Crown Prince.’
At that moment, a black shadow appeared by Hari, who was loosening her body.
“Hari! This is how you do it.”
Kesha grabbed Hari’s shoulders and pushed her, who was sitting, flat onto the floor.
“Ah… Ahhh…!”
Hari screamed.
Her stiffened body made it difficult for her to move even a little excessively.
“My legs and arms feel like they’re going to rip apart. Do I really have to do this?”
“I felt the same at first. It’s that big. Madam said you have many crooked places, right?”
“Really?”
“I’ll take a look.”
Wooduck! Wooduck!
Kesha turned her head left and right, lifting the corners of her mouth.
Hari looked at Kesha with a terrified face.
After finishing the exercise and returning to the room with Cassus, Atia noticed that an invitation to a banquet had arrived.
“Oh, the Crown Prince sent it.”
Atia, examining the letter with a red seal, raised her eyebrows. On the thin white paper, written in Owen’s handwriting, were words expressing a wish for attendance at the banquet.
“Oh? He even wrote a letter himself. Quite remarkable, isn’t it?”
Atia smiled while looking at the neat handwriting inviting her.
“His Highness the Crown Prince invites you to the banquet. It seems to be a celebration banquet for recovering the ship, or something like that.”
“Why does he host banquets so frequently? Doesn’t he have much to do?”
Cassus asked, narrowing his eyes and sticking out his tongue.
“Well, since he sent a letter, it’s only right to participate. We can just hire people to attend, or, why did he bother to write so carefully like this… Looking at the date, there’s still a lot of time left.”
“…”
Cassus chuckled as he read the letter written by Owen.
Knock, knock, knock.
As Atia was holding the letter, someone knocked on the door.
“His Highness the Crown Prince is calling for a moment.”
It was the messenger sent by Owen.
“Again?”
Cassus tilted his head with an displeased expression.
Atia, holding the letter in her hand, walked to the wardrobe to change her clothes.
“I suppose I’m needed. I should get ready to go out right away.”
Atia tidied up her appearance and headed to Owen’s office.
As always, her hair was loosely tied, and she was dressed comfortably.
Owen, who expected Atia to come like that, glanced at Cassus, who followed her, and said to Atia.
“I heard you live in the gym.”
“Ah… Did the rumor spread that much?”
Atia answered gracefully.
“Whatever. I’m still feeling the satisfaction of building the gym.”
Owen untangled his crossed legs, crossed them again on the opposite side, and continued.
“Well, how about an appreciation for lifting the dark magic? Does it have some effect?”
“Yes. I feel my body changing every day.”
“Good. I’m happy as long as you become healthier.”
Although Owen’s words sounded fake, Atia didn’t show any reaction and just smiled.
‘Rather than me, who is frail and could die anytime, he probably needs me to live healthily.’
“But… Why did you call me?”
“Oh, I just wanted to hear the unfinished story about the prophecy at that time.”
“Yes. Please sit down here, and I’ll explain it thoroughly.”
Owen nodded in admiration when Atia’s explanation was finished.
“Indeed. There were aspects I hadn’t thought of. If it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t have known.”
With Atia’s precognitive abilities, Owen seemed to be able to minimize various variables.
Listening to Atia’s explanation, even Owen realized that there were many aspects he hadn’t considered.
Atia touched on each point and explained it to help Owen understand.
“Don’t mention it.”
‘Now he can’t help but believe, right? My explanation was just reciting the contents from the book.’
There was no need to think complicatedly or elaborately. Knowing the future was indeed a great ability.
“Thanks to it, I solved dark magic… and gained Owen’s trust.”
Atia, her eyes sparkling with an inexplicable depth, smiled slightly.
Owen believed that Atia was undoubtedly the goose laying golden eggs.
“If there’s anything else needed in the gym, let me know. It doesn’t have to be limited to there.”
“Yes, thank you.”
“Hope to see you at the banquet again.”
Owen didn’t care about Cassus’s expression.
“It will be fun. There are also many delicious things.”
‘He must be planning to use me like that.’
Atia, who saw through Owen’s thoughts, raised the corners of her mouth.
“Yes, I understand. I will make sure to attend.”
If they meet at the banquet, they should discuss more about the gym.
After bidding farewell, Atia left the room and ran towards the gym.
She had exercised vigorously in the morning and planned to return to stamp her attendance in the afternoon.
Despite the fatigue, Atia’s face was brimming with energy.
“Are you really going in? You seem to be an unstoppable exercise addict.”
Cassus, with his arm around Atia’s waist, spoke quietly.
“Yes. I plan to increase my activity once my stamina improves.”
“Here, even more?”
“It hasn’t even started yet.”
Atia narrowed her eyes.
The moment she and Cassus entered the gym together, a face that hadn’t been seen before appeared.
When male lead is the homewrecker
“I know she doesn’t love him.”
I’ve read the novel below twice already. Girls, I’m highly recommending it to you!
The female lead? Not a good person.
The second male lead? Not a good person.
The male lead? Willingly plays the third party, breaking up the female and second male lead’s relationship despite all the warnings from his friends—so yeah, he’s definitely not a good person either.
Basically, nobody in this novel is simple-minded or without scheming.
The female lead starts off as the male lead’s secretary, but don’t worry—later on, she takes over the company while the male lead steps back to support her. He won’t steal her spotlight, overshadow her, or dull her shine.
I love novels where men are out here snatching wigs, tearing each other down, and going to war just to win the female lead’s affection. And this is exactly that kind of novel. Most of Hai Dai Ran’s works have this dynamic. You’ll see the male characters’ emotions being pushed to the absolute extreme.
There’s even a scene where the second male lead exposes the male lead online for being a homewrecker. The brotherhood immediately gangs up on him, dragging him through the mud. I find it compelling —it completely flips reality on its head, where usually, women are the ones fighting over a man and getting torn apart by the sisterhood.
For me, female leads in the novels I read should only struggle in their careers, not in love. But if the brainless romantics in the story are all men? I have zero complaints.
I’ve pretty much read all of Hai Dai Ran’s novels and even translated all of them—her works are just my thing. I’ll slowly upload everything here. One day, when my website is official, I hope I can invite her to join as one of the star authors.
