Don't Touch My Thorn (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 7
Idrish grabbed me roughly and headed straight for the room.
He threw me into the cage like tossing a ball. I curled into a ball and rolled around the cage. I quickly stretched out my limbs and stood on all fours. Beyond the closed iron bars, Idrish’s face, filled with rage, was visible.
His yellow eyes, glaring as if they’d devour me, blazed with anger. I felt like I might wet myself or faint again. So, I desperately hid in the farthest corner, turning my gaze away from him.
Well, since he locked me up here, it doesn’t seem like he plans to kill me right away…
Honestly, it was the first time the inside of a cage felt safe.
But that moment of relief was short-lived, as Idrish pulled out a small, sharp dagger. He spun the black-bladed dagger and tapped it against the iron bars of my cage.
The sound of the blade hitting the iron was chilling.
“I don’t know how you did it, but you must have pulled some trick.”
What trick… I mean, I did sort of nudge things along, but…
As if reading my thoughts, his eyes flashed like lightning in a clear sky. Excuses wouldn’t work, and it felt like he might stab me any moment. As if to prove it, the blade slid along the bars, getting closer to me. I trembled and crawled to a spot where the blade couldn’t reach.
“You think my words are a joke, don’t you?”
I timidly shook my head.
No way… I’m so scared I’m about to pass out…
“This is the last time I’ll show mercy. If this happens again, I’ll cut off your head right then and there.”
Eek! No way! My head! It’s small, but I need it!
To avoid looking defiant, I curled up and stayed still.
“And you’ll stay confined here.”
Bang!
The cage slammed shut with a loud noise. A thick black cloth was draped over the cage. Only after the pair of yellow eyes disappeared did I slump down in place.
Phew, I survived for now, but what do I do now?
If I don’t escape, I’ll be fuel for the villain’s fiery downfall. If I get caught escaping, my head’s gone. Why does this only happen to me?
⭐⭐⭐
Surprisingly, Idrish let us go once the confinement period was over.
I returned to Idrish’s bedroom.
On the first day back, I really wanted to bite Idrish’s ear off while he slept and escape.
But biting a chunk out of that big human’s ear wouldn’t change anything.
So I held back.
There’s bound to be a better chance. A chance to escape…
For days, I spent my time thinking only about escape.
The door swung open.
I was napping with my belly exposed but quickly rolled back into place. I wasn’t lazing around, I swear—I was lying down planning my escape. Really.
“Spiky King!”
Oh, the little one’s here again?
Rodrio often came to see me, saying Idrish allowed it. I don’t know why.
But the condition was that I absolutely couldn’t go outside like before.
It’s like he knows I’m planning an escape.
“Spiky, you kept saying you wanted to see that friend, right? I finally brought them. Don’t be lonely anymore.”
My eyes lit up.
Rodrio took it out.
Good job, kid! The escape plan starts now!
This plan, called “Make a Boyfriend Hedgehog,” began a few days ago.
That day, Idrish suddenly took me outside.
In the parlor we arrived at were a tailor, Zeros, and Rodrio. They were ordering clothes.
Rodrio, already done with his measurements, was sitting on a cushy chair, swinging his legs. He even smiled brightly when he saw me.
They measured Idrish and collected his fur for the clothes. Apparently, mixing fur into the fabric makes the clothes transform with you when you shift.
Why did they bring me? They’re not making me clothes.
I was getting bored when—
“Spiky, this looks just like you.”
Rodrio held out a pincushion full of needles.
You think anything with spikes looks like me? Then you must look like a mop with that white hair.
Trending
“What? You don’t like it? You could be friends.”
That’s when my thirty-second escape plan hit me like lightning.
To escape, I need that pincushion. How can I get it?
I thought hard.
Alright, this is the best way.
I steeled myself and sidled up to the pincushion. Then I rubbed my nose against it.
“You like your friend? Good, you do look alike…”
Yeah, yeah, I love it. So give it to me.
I rubbed against it more eagerly and licked the part I assumed was its head.
For some reason, Rodrio’s eyes grew wide. Was he shocked or something?
I didn’t understand his expression but kept rubbing and licking the pincushion.
“Idrish! Look at this! Spiky King’s acting weird.”
Me? What’s wrong with me?
Idrish strode over. He looked at me and frowned.
Idrish snatched the pincushion away. I was leaning on it and fell over, exposing my soft pink belly. Embarrassed for showing something I shouldn’t, I quickly got up.
I stared longingly at the pincushion and glared at Idrish.
What’s your problem now?
“Naughty hedgehog. This is confiscated.”
Me? Naughty?
I was stunned. What kind of thoughts make me naughty?
I earned the new nickname “Naughty Hedgehog,” but I didn’t give up.
After that day, I acted depressed.
I’m a lonely hedgehog. No friends. That pile of dirt’s my home.
Especially when Rodrio came, I’d scurry up, sit facing the wall, or curl up under the desk.
“Spiky King, what’s wrong…”
The kid fell right into my trap.
“You miss your friend? But…”
You brat. Don’t tarnish the pure friendship between me and the pincushion.
“…It’s not the same friend, but should I find something similar?”
A few days later—today—Rodrio showed up with a new pincushion.
You finally got it, you clever kid!
“Don’t be lonely anymore.”
Rodrio’s complicated expression bothered me, but that wasn’t important now.
I scampered around my fake friend. To show my thanks, I lightly licked Rodrio’s hand. He flinched but seemed pleased.
Now, the escape preparations were almost complete.
I planned to win over Bigus, the chef who brought my meals.
Every time Bigus delivered lunch, I lingered behind the window curtains.
“Mr. Hedgehog likes looking out the window, huh? Must be so stuffy, stuck in here. Honestly, why does Lord Idrish keep you locked up? Maybe he secretly wanted a pet? He’s too proud to admit it, but it’s possible.”
Bigus chattered as usual.
But one sentence mattered: “Mr. Hedgehog likes looking out the window.”
Yes. That’s enough!
On the day of reckoning, Idrish was away. I grunted and pushed my fake friend onto the windowsill.
The spikes were a bit sparse, but through the curtains, it looked convincingly hedgehog-like.
It’s fine. I just need to fool them until I escape the mansion.
I’d barely finished preparing when—
Knock, knock.
My heart pounded at the sound. I quickly hid behind the tiger statue by the door.
The door creaked open. Bigus stepped in, clattering plates.
“Mr. Hedgehog, looking out the window again?”
Now’s the time!

“Mr. Hedgehog’s been so down lately, so I baked a lemon pound cake today…”
While Bigus chatted with the pincushion by the window, I slipped out before the door closed.
Click.
The door shut behind me. Bigus set up my meal inside, and the hallway was empty.
I was free.
Run!
I first went to Bigus and Zeros’s room. I quickly transformed into a human, grabbed clothes, and put them on. The shirt and pants were baggy. I thought raccoons were small, but I must be even smaller.
“Phew, good thing there’s suspenders, or I’d be showing off my underwear in three steps.”
I tightened the suspenders to keep the pants up.
“A hat, I need a hat too.”
My red hair was too noticeable, so a hat was essential.
There was one on the wall above the mirror. But before grabbing it, my eyes were drawn to the mirror.
It was the first time I saw my face.
Under thick eyelashes and double eyelids, deep brown eyes glowed warmly.
My soft skin was vibrant, and my full, red lips tempted a touch. My small, round face was framed by sleek red hair.
Not glamorous, but lovely.
Somehow, it even resembled my hedgehog face.
“Pretty.”
It felt awkward saying it to myself, but it still seemed like someone else’s face, so the word slipped out.
Snapping out of it, I grabbed the brown hat.
I tucked my long hair into it.
Hmm, raccoon-style fashion.
The oversized clothes swallowed me, but they didn’t stand out. Unless someone looked closely, I’d pass as someone with plain, rustic fashion.
Alright. Let’s go.
Wait, I almost forgot the most important thing…
I hesitated, then opened the bedside drawer.
It should be around here.
Clink.
I pulled out a heavy pouch.
Inside were a few silver and copper coins, plus shiny buttons and trinkets.
Bigus, Zeros, I’m sorry. I need money too.

My Arch-enemy Sealed My Memory and Said That He is My Husband
This is an incredibly captivating story that you absolutely shouldn’t miss! I’ll give a brief introduction here, and below you’ll find a detailed synopsis of the plot.

The female lead is a fierce and powerful demon king. The male lead is a once-in-a-millennium celestial lord, admired by the entire cultivation world.
They are equally matched, legendary rivals who have battled for centuries.
In the final duel, the female lead is gravely injured. The male lead saves her, seals her memories, and hides her true identity. He tells her that he is her fiancé. His entire life has been flawless—except for the one thing he never expected, never controlled, and never wanted to control: falling for his greatest enemy. She is his inner demon, his obsession.
When the female lead regains her memories, she is furious at his deception.
She makes his life a living hell.
And somehow, the male lead—possibly a total masochist—doesn’t mind at all. In fact, he’s happy she’s paying attention to him.
Yep, we’re back to my favorite trope: male lead suffering. If you love this kind of story, jump into the pit with me now!!!
Intro
Dong Xia lost her memory.
Her handsome and extremely powerful fiancé Li Qing comforted her: “It’s okay if you can’t remember. I’ll always be with you.”
Everyone thought Dong Xia’s ancestors must have burned incense to get such a perfect fiancé. He was the number one person in the immortal realm, yet he remained chaste and only loved her.
…
The day before marrying her fiancé, Dong Xia finally remembered everything.
She wasn’t suffering from memory loss at all.
Her arch-enemy had made her fake her death, destroyed her cultivation, replaced her memories, and pretended to be her deeply in love fiancé.
No wonder he said, “It’s okay if you can’t remember”!
Dong Xia laughed coldly as she pulled out her long knife: Li Qing, prepare to die 🙂
*
Li Qing, as the supreme being of the immortal realm, was the people’s shining beacon.
The only unknown stain in his life was his affection for Dong Xia, the ruler of the demon realm.
In the final battle of the war between immortals and demons, the sky collapsed and the earth shattered. The ruler of the demon realm was finally slain under the sword of the supreme being of the immortal realm, and everyone in the immortal realm applauded.
The cultivation world lost a ruler of the demon realm.
And in the back mountain of Li Qing’s cave dwelling, he secretly hid away a fiancée.
