Don't Touch My Thorn (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 53

Yeah, Idrish is the proud prince of the White Tiger family. In the novel, he was a major villain, and I’m just a hedgehog who didn’t even appear in the story.

So maybe it’s only natural that he doesn’t care about me at all. Does it even make sense for a hedgehog and a tiger to get married? Of course not.

That’s exactly what I thought from the beginning. Then why does it hurt so much, even though I know it?

I pulled the blanket over my head. The familiar, comforting scent calmed my heart. Tears I hadn’t shed even once in days suddenly burst out.

“Waaahh….”

I muffled my sobs and sniffled back my runny nose.

I’ll cry just for today, and from tomorrow on, I won’t cling to Idrish anymore. Seriously. Even if Idrish later comes begging me, saying he likes me over and over, I’ll just say no. Of course, Idrish would never do something like that…

I ended up calling out Idrish’s name like a cuckoo bird for a long time before finally falling asleep.

I thought I’d sleep soundly now that I was back home after so long. Besides, it had been ages since I’d slept alone in bed.

It should’ve been more comfortable, right?

But for some reason, I kept waking up and falling back asleep all night.

I tossed and turned, and woke up feeling empty because there was no arm tightly holding me. The empty space beside me felt so hollow.

Eventually, I got up from bed in the middle of the night.

I went outside. Mirai was sleeping deeply, so I didn’t wake her.

I walked around the mansion garden for the first time in a while.
