“I need to… investigate further. If that’s true, for now, our goals seem to align.”

“That’s right.”

“The reason for bringing this up is to suggest forming an alliance until then.”

“You have a keen understanding of words.”

“I can’t believe such words are coming from your mouth. Atigrado forming an alliance with other subordinates.”

Terminos contemplated.

“Indeed, as we’ve been in a stalemate against Agila all along, Atigrado supporting us would be advantageous. So, what does Idrish want from us in return?”

“Assurance of safety.”

Terminos’s lips formed a line.

“Lovero is asking for your protection. Well, it seems like we’re taking quite a loss, don’t you think?”

“Do you object?”

Idrish leaned back in her chair, her intense gaze suppressing Terminos. He had lived his entire life in a position of superiority.

Terminos downed the lukewarm tea in one gulp.

“Very well. It’s akin to taking on a significant debt; it won’t be too challenging. In the future, we can make more careful use of you. We’ll guarantee Atigrado’s safety. Anyone who dares to attack Atigrado will have to wage war against our Lovero.”

“There’s one more condition.”

Idrish, who had leaned back,
“Don’t utter strange nonsense to Sila.”

“Strange nonsense? When did I ever utter strange nonsense?”

“Talking about my goddess and such.”

“Oh, Idrish. How can you be so unfeeling? Praising a beautiful woman is an irresistible instinct. That’s something I can’t change.”

“No, I can’t change that either.”

“But…!”

Their debate continued late into the night.

For once, I slept soundly. When I woke up, Idrish was not beside me.

I followed the Lovero mansion servant’s guidance and descended to the dining room.

“Wow.”

The table legs were almost bursting with food.

“Welcome, my fairy, my sunshine.”

“Terminos! What about Lord Lovero?”

“He woke up last night. It’s all thanks to you.”

Terminos stood up abruptly and bowed. I clapped my hands.

“That’s unnecessary. Please, sit down. Anyway, I’m really relieved. I was worried because you took the antidote so late. See, I told you, trust my words, and even bread will appear while you sleep.”

“Indeed. My wise and compassionate Sila.”

I laughed heartily with my eyes closed. By now, I didn’t even pay much attention to Terminos’s words.

It was just a form of praise, to what extent could I take it?

“The relationship seems very good. Can’t you see me?”

I was startled by Idrish’s voice coming from the other side. He alternated between me and Terminos, stabbing the meat with a fork.

“Idrish was here too. I woke up, and you weren’t there.”

“You didn’t seem to look for me at all. You only seemed to be looking for that brat.”

“Oh, come on, that can’t be true.”

I sat down next to Idrish. Still, he didn’t pay any attention to me, seemingly in a bad mood.

It didn’t suit his physique.

I chuckled silently and loaded the grilled salmon dish onto my plate, along with some roasted figs.

The fragrant, oily fish was superb. But more delicious than that was the roasted figs.

“I’ve always loved figs.”

“Eat a lot. Sila, just looking at you enjoying it fills my stomach.”

“Then stop eating.”

“Haha, Idrish. This is an idiom.”

I glanced between them.

What’s going on? Why do they suddenly seem friendly?

Their words were rough, but I could sense that the wall between them had crumbled a bit.

Clearly, when I arrived here yesterday, it wasn’t quite like this.
With such thoughts in mind, I picked up a few blueberries and savored their taste, perfectly sweet and delightfully tangy. The pleasure hormones surged through my body at the taste of these blueberries.

“How many days will you be staying at our mansion? I’d like to treat you, our benefactors, generously.”

“I plan to leave soon.”

“Oh, I see. You must have a busy schedule. In that case, I’ll arrange for a carriage to take you straight to your destination. Please rest here until then.”

“Sure.”

“Oh, by the way, just thinking about parting from my goddess is already making my heart ache. Idrish, how about you go back alone? I’ll make Sila happy.”

Idrish couldn’t stand it and dropped his fork with a loud noise.

“After all, you’re not really a married couple, are you? So, I should have a chance too, shouldn’t I?”

Terminos chuckled leisurely, seemingly enjoying Idrish’s reaction. But when Idrish’s fork landed on his table, Terminos couldn’t laugh anymore.

An Indifferent Woman is the One Men Desire the Most

One-line summary: The female lead is actually cold-hearted and extremely rational. She has stage-by-stage relationships and won’t two-time, but there will always be someone who secretly likes her.

This novel has the following triggers, so if you’re sensitive to these, please don’t read:

1. The female lead has had many relationships, but she treated each one seriously and broke up properly.

It’s just that the men unilaterally pestered her incessantly. For the female lead, when she doesn’t like someone anymore, she simply doesn’t like them.

(This applies to her relationships with Male Lead 1, 2, 3, and 4 as well, but she’s loyal in each 1-on-1 relationship!)

2. In this novel, Male Lead 2 and the female lead kiss in a car, and Male Lead 1 sees it and beats up Male Lead 2.

The female lead calls the police and sends both Male Lead 1 and 2 to the police station! Male Lead 1 begs the female lead not to break up with him.

3. Male Lead 1 has a gentle appearance but an obsessive personality.

Male Lead 2 has a delicate and soft appearance, slightly green tea-like (two-faced).

Male Lead 3 is a youthful college student and a smart person who has secretly liked the female lead for a long time.

Male Lead 4 is the female lead’s father’s special assistant, a business elite with deep, hidden thoughts.

4. At the beginning of this novel, the female lead has already broken up with Male Lead 1 (Chapter 4) and gotten back together with Male Lead 2 (ex-boyfriend).

5. Enter with caution if you have triggers!!!
