“Why? Did the workshop say it’s impossible to fix?”
“No. Um… you must promise not to get too angry when you hear this.”
“Of course.”
Even though Irene assured her she absolutely wouldn’t get angry, Jesse hesitated before carefully replying.
“That brooch… is currently in Lord Abel’s possession.”
