Irene, who ended up receiving etiquette lessons from Carlos, was nervously sitting at the dining table.

The table was neatly set with all sorts of utensils, some of which Irene had never seen before.

There are so many types of utensils. As Irene marveled at something she was seeing for the first time, the dining room door opened and Carlos entered.

Startled, Irene put down the utensil, and Carlos asked with a puzzled look.

“What are you so surprised about?”

“It’s nothing.”

“You weren’t trying to take the utensil, were you?”

Carlos had said it in jest, but Irene, taking it seriously, turned slightly pale.

Fear welled up as the memory of being scolded harshly for being mistaken for a thief by her father overlapped.

“No, no! I didn’t steal anything! Really!”

Having thrown a mere joke, Carlos was a bit taken aback by the intense reaction and looked at her.

Her face darkened, thinking his gaze was still one of suspicion.

“It was a joke.”

Only then did Carlos quickly add,

“So don’t worry about it.”

Was it really a joke? Irene was skeptical, but she nodded her head.

“What you just picked up is a fork for shellfish.”

Striding toward Irene, Carlos picked up the fork she had almost dropped and asked,

“Have you ever eaten shellfish?”

“No.”

Since it cost a lot to transport shellfish fresh to the inland, it was expensive. A bundle of shellfish cost as much as a commoner’s monthly food bill, so there was no way she, a mere commoner, had tasted shellfish cuisine.

“I guess I’ll have to serve shellfish dishes tomorrow night.”

Irene’s eyes widened.

“Can I eat it?”

“You can eat it.”

Carlos took her right arm and handed her the fork for shellfish.

“Gilbert will be pleased if you enjoy the shellfish dish that will be served tomorrow evening.”

“……Gilbert?”

“The head chef of this castle.”

Ah, the person who made all the delicious food she had eaten so far. Irene felt a liking for Gilbert just from that fact.

“If you’ve never eaten shellfish, you’ve never used this fork either.”

“Yes.”

“I’ll show you how to use it.”

As the formal education began, Irene listened intently. She was so focused that she did not notice Carlos looking at her with a strange eye from time to time.

“……That’s enough for today.”

Carlos cut it off at an appropriate point so as not to overwhelm Irene with too much at once. Also, because the promised one hour had been reached.

“Do you have any questions? Anything you don’t understand?”

“No. There’s nothing.”

It was not that Carlos was intimidating or that she wanted to end the lesson quickly, but there was genuinely nothing. Carlos’s explanations were well understood.

But if there was one regret…

“Can I take notes during the lessons from now on?”

No matter how good a person’s memory, it was hard to remember everything just by listening once. It required repetition or reading a few times.

Since she couldn’t ask Carlos to repeat himself, Irene chose to take notes.

Then Carlos chuckled, amused.

“You’re the first person I’ve seen who wants to take notes on etiquette lessons.”

“Is that not allowed?”

“It’s not that, but wouldn’t reading a book be better?”

“Is there a book?”

“Of course. If you want, I’ll give it to you.”

“I want it.”

As Irene answered promptly, Carlos’s smile deepened.

He immediately ordered a servant waiting outside the dining room to bring the book on etiquette.

“Master, I have brought the book you ordered.”

A moment later, it was not the servant who had received the command but another man who brought the book.

A man she had seen near the knight’s quarters.

The man who was said to be Duey’s twin.

Intrigued by the existence of twins, Irene stared at the man, but he did not glance at her once.

“Why are you looking like that?”
Instead, Carlos looked at her and asked. Only then did Irene’s pupils shift from the man to Carlos.

“Do you have business with Deus?”

So this man’s name is Deus. Irene finally learned the man’s name. They said he was a twin to Dewey, and even their names were similar.

Though their personalities were entirely different. Especially, she could not forget him putting a knife to her throat. Irene glanced at Deus and replied.

“It’s not that I have business with him… I was just curious because I saw twins for the first time.”

At those words, Deus looked at Irene for the first time since entering the restaurant. Irene flinched at the contemptuous and piercing gaze.

Why is he looking at me like that? Did I make a mistake in my words?

“Deus.”

When Carlos called his name, Deus retracted his gaze as if nothing had happened and bowed his head.

Carlos nodded as if understanding Irene’s reaction.

“Well, in the Luman Empire, twins are beings that should not exist. It’s understandable to be curious.”

The Esper Territory was also part of the Luman Empire, so it was strange for him to speak as if it were not.

Come to think of it, Jessie had spoken similarly. She wasn’t from the Empire, so that might make sense, but Carlos wasn’t like that.

As the head of the Esper family, he was surely from the Empire. Why would he speak like that?

My Ex-Girlfriend Is The Regent In The Female-dominant World (Male lead transmigrates to the matriarchal world)

Two years ago, Gu Sui picked up a homeless woman in ancient costume from the street.

Apart from occasionally claiming to be a princess from a female-dominant country due to illness, her figure, appearance, intelligence, and martial arts skills were impeccable.

Naturally evolving from roommates to girlfriends, as time went on, Gu Sui found it increasingly difficult to tolerate her queen syndrome.

“Mu Jiulu, can you stop controlling me inside and out? Let’s break up.”

Gu Sui made a breakup call, and since then, he couldn’t find any trace of her.

A year later, Gu Sui, who was planning to move, woke up the next day and found himself in a different place.

“Young Master, today is the day you choose your Wife-master through martial arts competition at Jade Dew Pavilion. Please get up quickly.”

Gu Sui: Who am I? Where am I? What am I doing?

As the only son of a general’s mansion in a female-dominant dynasty, the young empress personally issued a decree allowing Gu Sui to select his Wife-master through martial arts competition. Whoever could defeat him could marry him.

Gu Sui: “……”

He didn’t inherit the original owner’s martial prowess, so anyone could defeat him! And what the hell is a Wife-master?

Forced to come to Jade Dew Pavilion, the densely packed women below made Gu Sui’s agoraphobia act up, and his face was full of resistance.

Until he saw the Regent sitting on the second floor, with a smile on the corner of her lips, her eyes wicked and nonchalant.

Hmm… she looked a little familiar.

It turned out that the Regent also found him a little familiar.

Mu Jiulu fiddled with her bone clasp, her deep gaze locked on the man who was out of place in this world.

“Finally, I found you.”
