Don't Obsess Over A Married Woman (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 166
It was unexpectedly touching—simply the fact that my children were alive and breathing right beside me now.
‘The memory of losing them and sitting there like a doll, paralyzed by muscle relaxants, remains vividly clear…’
Human memory truly was inefficient.
Even though the time I’d spent with them far exceeded the time we’d been apart, I still felt trapped in the pain of those days.
As if that brief moment had somehow become permanently etched into my mind.
“Mama! This new chair is so comfy!”
“I want this chair.”
“Euphemia, didn’t your stepmother say she’d make another one just like it because you kept insisting so much? Maybe you should try being a little more patient.”
“What do you know, Brother? I just want the one Mama used!”
“Then here’s an idea, Euphemia. Once the new chair is made, we’ll swap it with Mama’s old one. That’ll work, won’t it?”
“Yeah, okay!”
Because the children had gathered in my room after so long, the place remained noisy well into the late night.
Especially since there were four of them—even just one sentence each from every person filled up the space completely.
Ah, by the way—I’d recently replaced nearly all the furniture and bedding in my room.
Every time I entered, I’d relive those horrifying memories, making proper rest impossible.
