“What on earth am I supposed to say about this?”

Melfius grumbled outright about having been dragged out of bed again, yet still pulled a handkerchief from his chest and offered it to Lu, alternating his gaze between her and the sea.

“Please just don’t say anything, Lord.”

Hayden took the handkerchief instead and pressed it to Lu’s nose, replying curtly.

“This is far too serious a matter to simply let pass without comment, Your Majesty.”

Ignoring whatever Hayden might say, Melfius studied Lu closely.

“A tremendous power—something I’ve never felt before—suddenly surged right before my eyes, so I came out to see what was happening… and it was you, my lady.”

Lu, bewildered, glanced at the Dragon Lord, then cast a quick look toward the sea.

Without a word, Hayden gently turned Lu’s face back toward himself and checked whether her bleeding had stopped.

“A great power?”

At Lu’s question, Melfius nodded.

“Me?”
