Today is a joyous day for the Plache Count family.

The five nobles belonging to the Plache Count family, honored by His Majesty the Emperor of the glorious Perseta Empire, entered the Chalea Imperial Palace.

It was a ceremony to commend their merits in the recent assassination attempt on His Majesty that occurred in Turington. Of course, no grand title would be bestowed—merely a lifetime knighthood ceremony—yet its significance was immense.

For the first time, the entire family was attending an event where the eldest daughter was the protagonist.

Today, the youngest lady of the house, who was trying especially hard to act mature, stepped down from the carriage and walked diligently across the red carpet. Yet, still only five years old, her toddling steps were so adorably clumsy that even the solemn Imperial Guards and Imperiale could not help but smile faintly.

“…D-Daddy!”

Climbing the stairs was difficult, the carpet seemed endless, and the palace was far too vast.

Seeing the Imperiale knights standing guard at the massive entrance, little Bella panted heavily and finally stretched out her small, chubby hand while calling for her father. Count Plache quickly took his youngest daughter’s hand.

Yet when she saw her eldest sister wearing a uniform, Bella had cried all morning demanding the same uniform. Now, with reddened eyes, she clung tightly clung to her father.

“His Majesty will come later, so let us greet him then.”

“No! He’s right there—Godfather?”

Ethan first stopped his daughter, who was about to let go of his hand and run off, then looked toward the far end of the building interior.

At the end of the grand hall, atop the stairs, the Emperor stood speaking with the Dragon Lord.
