If she knew the name, she would have shouted it. Her heart was too desperate, and she felt like she would go crazy with worry. Without hesitation, Lu cast a large spell with her left hand and swung her sword with her right hand.

The person she was looking for was very thin and light. If that monster swiftly caught and tossed them around like a toy before throwing them away in the air, she didn’t even want to think about it.

Attacking the monster frantically with a face pale with anxiety, Lu, who was desperately searching, heard a very small voice.

She quickly turned around. A very thin boy, wearing a helmet much larger than his head, was rushing towards her.

Gray eyes urgently spoke to her while looking at her.

A blond strand of hair peeked out from under the helmet and swayed vigorously in the wind. Then, with a quick movement, the person turned their body and raised a sword that looked excessively heavy compared to their physique.

Lu blocked the monster rushing towards her before the boy could attack. With eyes still fixed on him, Lu swiftly killed the monster with a destructive force suitable for processing.

“Oh, I could have blocked that!”

The boy, who intentionally spoke brightly, seemed to be trying to reassure her. Lu breathed heavily, engulfed in a strong sense of relief. She was saved, for now. Barely, she was saved.

“Don’t fall. Stick close, it’s dangerous.”

Lu unintentionally said those words, as if it was entirely natural.

“I didn’t fall, see!”

“Yeah. You’re doing well. Don’t be scared. I’ll protect you.”

The boy’s eyes, which were expected to be loud even with these words, momentarily became very weak.

The fear he had been holding back, pretending to be tough, appeared weakly, and trust in her filled his eyes. He nodded vigorously, promising to follow well and made the promise once again.

The boy knew very well that Lu would protect him.

A strand of fine golden thread appeared under the helmet, and tiny specks of gold fell and disappeared. Although it was only one of the curses that barely clung to Lu’s tightly tied hair, it definitely contained gold.
