Hayden had brought six coffins. Five had occupants, and one was empty. They were small enough to accommodate children no older than ten. He looked at each coffin and, lifting the saddened Ophelia, entered her room.

“The funeral will take place separately later. Conserve your energy, Ophelia. Now is not the time to grieve. Don’t get lost in sorrows that have lasted for hundreds of years.”

Hayden sounded compassionate, but his words were ultimately dispassionate. He was right. He easily supported Ophelia’s tall, albeit slender but dignified, frame and seated her.

“So, what have you brought, Your Highness?”

Lu couldn’t be sure if the items in the bag she was holding could alleviate Ophelia’s immense sorrow.

“It seems like you’ve brought some very impressive treasures. I can feel it.”

“Ah, unfortunately, I couldn’t find the imperial crown.”

Ophelia chuckled weakly when she saw Lu discreetly pull out the scepter.

“You do have a sense of humor. Saying that while you pull out a Dia Tu Marin. May I take a look, Your Majesty?”

Hayden nodded. Ophelia was immensely pleased as she touched Emperor Ferse’s scepter.

“This is a splendid treasure in its own right, and the magic it contains is remarkable.”

“You used it very effectively today.”

“With this, we should be able to untangle a few of Your Highness’s cursed knots.”

Ophelia managed a slight smile.

“As for my curse, well, it could go either way.”

“Creating even a crack is important.”

She spoke skeptically and shrugged, but Hayden interjected. Lu hurriedly pulled out the orb as well.

“I’ve brought this, too.”

“My God, Luayal Blue!”

Ophelia’s eyes widened, and Lu looked at Hayden.

“Do all treasures come with names?”

“That’s a symbol of imperial power, so naturally. They all have blue hues, hence the names.”

“You’ve brought something incredibly valuable, Your Highness. That wretched Carlos must be fuming!”

Lu thought, you even curse elegantly, just like my mother, as she looked inside the heavy velvet bag.

“Does the orb have less power?”

“It has some, but the scepter is stronger. We can do something with the orb, too. Carlos is a vain fool who uses magic linked to each of these precious symbols.”

“That’s why I brought this, too. If it was stored with the symbols of imperial power, it must be valuable.”

Lu lifted a long belt connected by diamonds, featuring ten sapphires. Ophelia stared at the transparent belt and extended her trembling hand.

“It’s an artifact from Matop.”

Lu looked at Hayden, then laid the sapphire belt in her hand.

A pleasant resonance began. The belt, which only reflected light, began to shine on its own in Ophelia’s hand.

The sound resonated repeatedly as the treasure collided with the curse, revealing a snake-like, emerald-colored curse wrapping around Ophelia. The sound of the collision intensified.

“Ophelia, hand me the scepter.”

Hayden, who had been watching quietly, stepped forward. The Western sage, who quickly handed the scepter to the emperor, stared at the snake’s body binding her three times. It was truly a wondrous sight.

Hayden, holding the scepter, extended his hand toward Ophelia. As the corners of his mouth twisted cruelly, fine cracks began to appear in the curse.

Tiny sounds of rocks cracking resonated. Ophelia, who confirmed that the unbreakable curse of hundreds of years was beginning to fracture, tightly gripped the belt with both hands.
The master of the tower unfurled a spell he had long striven to execute but to no avail, succeeding at last after hundreds of thousands of attempts.

“Your Highness, it’s dangerous. Come this way.”

Hayden quickly stood in front of Lu. A fierce wind swept through the room, toppling household items and violently rustling the few open books, as though tearing the pages apart.

Magical runes appeared in the air in an orderly fashion. The wisest wizard, the master of the tower, had risen once again after hundreds of years.

Crack! Lu’s eyes widened at the sound, much louder than before. A deep crack appeared in the lowest part of the triple-layered curse on Ophelia. With a cacophonous crunch, the first loop broke into pieces in an instant.

Lu captured every detail of the spectacle, as Ophelia’s once somber face collided with light and radiated brilliance.

It was beautiful. Tears finally streamed down Ophelia’s blue eyes, a scene both beautiful and sorrowful.

Now the curse had been reduced to a double layer with a severed end.

“……This is…….”

Barely able to speak, Ophelia smiled warmly with a choked voice and quickly wiped her tears when her eyes met Lu’s. She appeared much bigger than before.

“Uh, thank you. This, this is my cherished treasure, the , a symbol of my power. I honestly thought Carlos had completely dismantled it…”

She paused her words and once again wiped her cheeks. Lu rummaged through his pocket and offered a handkerchief given by a servant of the Kaleta Royal family.

“If this is alright….”

“Thank you.”

Receiving the handkerchief, Ophelia hesitated to speak, eventually opening her arms to embrace Lu.

“Thank you.”

Ex-husband Wants Reconciliation

One-line summary: Chasing the wife to the crematorium (making an effort to attract someone who has become indifferent), the female lead doesn’t look back, the second male lead takes the position.

Intro:

To repay the kindness of the older generation, Su Mu crossed into a female-dominated world and became a live-in daughter-in-law of the Yan family, single-handedly saving the Yan family from fire and water.

But her husband, Yan Jiyue, the eldest son of the Yan family, treated her with sarcasm and never showed her a good face.

It wasn’t until after Su Mu’s death that this pampered and arrogant young master shed a few fake tears and pretended to want to die for love.

This life’s kindness was enough. If there was a next life, she would definitely kick Yan Jiyue away.

Who knew that the heavens would be so kind as to allow her to be reborn, returning to the time when she had just married into the Yan family.

Su Mu glanced at the Yan eldest son, who still spoke coldly to her, and threw a divorce letter in front of him.

“Let’s divorce!”

***

Yan Jiyue never imagined that he would be reborn. He happily went to find Su Mu, wanting to make up for the mistakes he had made in his ignorant youth.

Wasn’t the reason the heavens allowed him to be reborn to let him reconcile with Su Mu?

But when he pushed open the door to Su Mu’s room, the person lying on the bed was another man.

Su Mu’s personal attendant, Xie Yi.

Yan Jiyue hated him so much that his teeth itched. In front of Su Mu, Xie Yi was a gentle and considerate whisperer of sweet nothings, but in reality, he was vicious-hearted and deliberately sabotaged their husband and wife relationship.

In the previous life, it was he who secretly hid in Su Mu’s coffin and committed suicide, stealing a step ahead of him to be buried with Su Mu.

Yan Jiyue’s eyes were filled with hatred as he cursed, “What kind of thing are you? Your background is lowly, what right do you have to occupy Su Mu?”

Xie Yi looked at the sleeping Su Mu and no longer pretended to be a whisperer of sweet nothings.

He proudly stuck out his belly, “I have the right because my belly is capable of giving the Wife-master a daughter.”

***

Yan Jiyue was consumed with jealousy. He spread rumors that Xie Yi had once been branded with the mark of a “harlot” on his chest.

But on the night Xie Yi cut off the flesh bearing that mark, Su Mu suddenly realized something was amiss.

“How did you know the exact moment I was poisoned? And why did you show up a month early?”

Xie Yi remained silent, blood from his wound soaking through his robes. His sapphire eyes brimmed with anguish – or was it just a flawless act?

Between a once-arrogant husband now seeking redemption, and a gentle soul willing to die for her – who truly held the darkest secrets? And could it be that Su Mu and Yan Jiyue weren’t the only ones given a second chance at life…?
