Count Blimund also bowed deeply to Count Bernas before letting out a heavy sigh and vanishing into the inner part of the mansion.

Rozelia, who had been blankly surveying the chaotic surroundings, finally snapped back to her senses and approached Count Bernas.

“Grandfather, how did you even come out here?”

“Do I look unwell to your eyes?”

“No, you look so perfectly fine it’s actually strange.”

Remembering belatedly the bombshell declaration the count had just dropped, Rozelia asked worriedly,

“But a guardian? Can they really just decide that so abruptly?”

“A soldier never takes back his word once spoken.”

Grandfather, you’re not a soldier anymore—you’re a senile old man…

Rozelia merely forced an awkward smile, holding back the words that nearly slipped out.

Well, he’ll probably forget all about it by tomorrow anyway.

Just as Rozelia thought this and tried to brush it off lightly, Klaus strode over and bowed deeply to the count.

Having never seen Klaus bow so respectfully to anyone other than royalty, Rozelia’s eyes widened in surprise.
