“I’ve delivered the message, so I’ll be off now.”

Rozelia gave a slight nod and could only stare blankly at Alejandro’s retreating figure as he vanished down the corridor.

It hadn’t even been a few hours since she, as Rozelia, had done that with him in his office.

Frustrated by how her body responded to him like a tamed puppy—without any backbone—Rozelia seethed inwardly.

She truly wanted to ignore his summons entirely and just sleep like the dead, but Rozelia had no choice but to move her unwilling feet toward his office.

Damn it—just because I’m a servant doesn’t mean I have to come running when he calls. What power does he even have?

Standing before Klaus’s office, Rozelia let out a deep sigh and knocked on the door.

“It’s Antonio. I heard you called for me.”

“Come in.”

At the prompt reply, Rozelia took a deep breath and stepped inside the office.

Unlike his usual self, who was always seated at his desk surrounded by paperwork, he was now lounging on the sofa, sipping from a glass of liquor.

Puzzled by the sight, Rozelia hesitated a moment before Klaus gestured her closer with a nod.

“Did you meet Rozelia?”
