He rose to his feet, his face brimming with displeasure, and strode toward Rozelia.

Klaus approached her, meeting her unwavering gaze with eyes sharp as ice, and muttered through gritted teeth.

“Just because you’ve barely been here over a month, what makes you think you know anything to chatter on about?”

“Precisely because I haven’t been here long, don’t you think I might judge more objectively than anyone else here?”

Klaus let out an exasperated sigh as he watched Rozelia retort sharply, word for word, without yielding an inch.

“Do you really think you understand why I’m so obsessed with work and money?”

“I don’t know your personal circumstances, Your Grace, but I do know this—what matters most for your relationship right now isn’t money.”

Her words, which seemed to deny everything he’d built up to this point, finally sparked anger in his eyes.

“Damn it, Antonio.”

He surged forward in an instant, growling as if ready to grab Rozelia by the collar. She clenched her teeth from tension but met his glare with a sullen, defiant face.

“Don’t bother me with this nonsense right now. My head’s about to burst. No one else here would dare say such things to me—except you.”
