“What?”

Jucid’s eyebrows furrowed fiercely, prompting Roselia to continue calmly.

“If I’m not a servant, then I have no reason to stay here at your command.”

Jucid, taken aback, scowled at Roselia’s response.

“You, just a domestic servant, dare to ignore my words?”

Roselia sighed heavily and replied coldly.

“You just said I wasn’t a servant.”

“Stop talking back! Just stay with me for a bit!”

Roselia sighed deeply and reluctantly sat on the opposite sofa at a distance.

She thought it wouldn’t hurt to sit for a while to avoid a fuss, considering it was just a brief moment.

Observing Roselia warily, Jucid suddenly began to slowly remove her mask and drawled.

“Isn’t it a bit warm in here?”

“Do you think so? I feel fine…”

Suddenly, Roselia felt dizzy and lightheaded.

A wave of heat surged through her body as her vision blurred.

Caught off guard, Roselia clutched her head as she accidentally dropped her champagne glass, spilling it over her shirt.

“Oh dear… your shirt is all wet. Shall I help you with that?”

Roselia’s blurry gaze shifted uneasily towards Jucid.

Did she do something to the champagne?

Why? What could she possibly gain from doing something to a servant of the Ducal House?

Now sitting close beside Roselia, Jucid removed her mask and gently caressed Roselia’s face, murmuring languidly.

“It’s such a waste for you to be Closet’s domestic.”

Even in her dazed state, Roselia felt a chill run down her spine.

Damn this woman! I’m a woman too!

But Jucid, oblivious to Roselia’s inner outcry, licked her lips and smirked wickedly.

“If I can’t have you, neither will Closet.”

Roselia had always thought something was off about this woman, but what was she mumbling now?

Roselia wanted to push Jucid away and flee the lounge, but her body felt increasingly heavy, like sodden cotton.

“Even if you’re tainted by me, would Closet still take you in?”

A chilling shiver ran down Roselia’s spine.

This woman, she couldn’t possibly…

Jucid’s white hand began unbuttoning Roselia’s shirt.

Roselia’s mind went blank with shock, or maybe the drug’s effect.

Damn it. If this continues, the bandages hiding her chest under the shirt would be revealed!

She never imagined being exposed in such an absurd situation.

Too drowsy…

Suddenly, there was a thunderous bang!

The lounge door flew open with such force it seemed like thunder had struck.

In the doorway stood a panting woman.

“Clot…set…”

Closet’s face twisted into a demonic snarl upon seeing Roselia and Jucid on top of her.

“You crazy b****!!!”

Then, Roselia’s vision went white.

Just before losing consciousness, she vaguely recalled seeing Closet’s blue dress fluttering and her slender leg flying into Jucid’s side.

After that, her memory was a blur.

When she awoke, her body felt significantly lighter.
Was it a feeling of something constricting being released, allowing me to breathe freely?

More precisely, it felt like my chest was suddenly freed.

My chest…

With this sudden realization, Roselia’s eyes snapped open, and she jolted upright.

I must have fainted when that Belmont Juice or whatever was trying to unbutton my shirt…

But as I frantically looked around, I saw Closet, resting her chin on her hands, staring intently at me.

“Are you awake?”

“Lady Closet…?”

I then remembered Closet’s voice just before I fainted. She must have leaped like a butterfly and delivered a flying kick to Jucid…

“…!!! What about Lady Jucid?”

Closet responded bluntly to my anxious query.

“I gave her a stern talking-to and kicked her out.”

Briefly stunned by Closet’s words, I instinctively looked down, feeling an odd sense of emptiness.

That’s when I realized the cloth binding my chest was gone. I panicked and frantically covered my chest.

Closet, watching me leisurely, finally spoke.

“It was all wet, so I changed you.”

Indeed, instead of the formal attire I had been wearing, I was now in a loose, silk dress that seemed more like a nightgown – evidently one of Closet’s indoor garments.

My eyes widened in disbelief as I looked at Closet.

So, you’ve seen…

“Everything…?”

Closet smirked and responded.

“Quite large, isn’t it?”

“Lady Closet!”

But more importantly, why was Closet so nonchalant, knowing I was a woman?

Had she realized it all along?

I cautiously broached the subject.

“You don’t seem very surprised. Did you know all along?”

Closet bluntly answered my question.

“No? I found out today.”

“But why… aren’t you saying anything?”

“Hmm… I was a bit surprised, but Antonio is still Antonio.”

Her straightforward response left me dumbfounded.

Closet then flashed a mischievous smile.

“And honestly, I kind of wished Antonio was a woman. It worked out well, didn’t it?”

“What??”

“Don’t worry. I’ll keep it a secret from Klaus. You’re disguised as a man because of him, right?”

Closet was always quick to catch on.

Silent, I pressed my lips together tightly, and Closet leaned back, chuckling innocently.

Feeling overwhelmed by her gaze, I turned away and spoke tersely.

Ex-husband Wants Reconciliation

One-line summary: Chasing the wife to the crematorium (making an effort to attract someone who has become indifferent), the female lead doesn’t look back, the second male lead takes the position.

Intro:

To repay the kindness of the older generation, Su Mu crossed into a female-dominated world and became a live-in daughter-in-law of the Yan family, single-handedly saving the Yan family from fire and water.

But her husband, Yan Jiyue, the eldest son of the Yan family, treated her with sarcasm and never showed her a good face.

It wasn’t until after Su Mu’s death that this pampered and arrogant young master shed a few fake tears and pretended to want to die for love.

This life’s kindness was enough. If there was a next life, she would definitely kick Yan Jiyue away.

Who knew that the heavens would be so kind as to allow her to be reborn, returning to the time when she had just married into the Yan family.

Su Mu glanced at the Yan eldest son, who still spoke coldly to her, and threw a divorce letter in front of him.

“Let’s divorce!”

***

Yan Jiyue never imagined that he would be reborn. He happily went to find Su Mu, wanting to make up for the mistakes he had made in his ignorant youth.

Wasn’t the reason the heavens allowed him to be reborn to let him reconcile with Su Mu?

But when he pushed open the door to Su Mu’s room, the person lying on the bed was another man.

Su Mu’s personal attendant, Xie Yi.

Yan Jiyue hated him so much that his teeth itched. In front of Su Mu, Xie Yi was a gentle and considerate whisperer of sweet nothings, but in reality, he was vicious-hearted and deliberately sabotaged their husband and wife relationship.

In the previous life, it was he who secretly hid in Su Mu’s coffin and committed suicide, stealing a step ahead of him to be buried with Su Mu.

Yan Jiyue’s eyes were filled with hatred as he cursed, “What kind of thing are you? Your background is lowly, what right do you have to occupy Su Mu?”

Xie Yi looked at the sleeping Su Mu and no longer pretended to be a whisperer of sweet nothings.

He proudly stuck out his belly, “I have the right because my belly is capable of giving the Wife-master a daughter.”

***

Yan Jiyue was consumed with jealousy. He spread rumors that Xie Yi had once been branded with the mark of a “harlot” on his chest.

But on the night Xie Yi cut off the flesh bearing that mark, Su Mu suddenly realized something was amiss.

“How did you know the exact moment I was poisoned? And why did you show up a month early?”

Xie Yi remained silent, blood from his wound soaking through his robes. His sapphire eyes brimmed with anguish – or was it just a flawless act?

Between a once-arrogant husband now seeking redemption, and a gentle soul willing to die for her – who truly held the darkest secrets? And could it be that Su Mu and Yan Jiyue weren’t the only ones given a second chance at life…?
